Wut? Is Atlanta like a bar that you can't move to until a certain age?

A few years ago we'd consider going to a Braves game any time, no matter how terrible they were. Now? People won't go unless it's the weekend, and even then they want free tickets to consider it. it's just not a good product, Battery aside.
Holy shite this is a bad post. It's the same ridiculous insular shite you see from Reddit or other places where 15% of Atlanta thinks they're the overwhelming majority.
It's the same as it's always been. Tickets have always been 6 bucks on StubHub for GA seats. I live ITP. The atmosphere and crowds around the stadium are bigger than they have been in a while. The Braves haven't done well during the week in quite a while, and I've definitely not seen any evidence that they're doing worse by pulling out of a no-retail, no-restaurant progressive utopia and going to a mixed use area with regular foot traffic.
Let's be honest, you're a liberal who surrounds yourself with Emory people who are all angry because a team you never watched now plays a stones throw away from the city. It rustled yall's progressive jimmies that the Atlanta Braves play in evil Cobb County.
To the extent ITP are souring on the Braves, which I don't think is really happening because the type that get jaded about this shite don't usually like sports anyway, it's because of a dumb groupthink mentality that ignores that the product right now is far better than it was in the last several years of the Turner iteration in every single aspect.

I couldn't give two shits about whether the citizens of 10th and Juniper get their banana hammocks entangled over the Braves "leaving" by moving 10 minutes up the fricking road.

It really isn't. I'm pretty damn ITP and I like SunTrust (minus the lack of MARTA access).

why should I care what a bunch of libs living ITP care about the Braves? I love the new location and so does everyone else except your echo chamber of friends.

I've lived ITP for 10 years now post-college, and I don't agree with you at all. Now, I'm married and have kids, so you may be at a different stage in life around different types of people. However, the Braves are very much discussed and part of the lives of almost all the folks I'm around. Kids in our hood pretty equally wear Braves/Falcons/United stuff (Hawks stuff died out the last few years, sad).
My overall take on it all as someone who lives and works ITP and has clients all around ITP that I deal with is that the initial backlash to the Cobb move was harsh (and understandably, not as much because of the actual location but because it was Cobb County). After a full year and most people making a trip or two, plus the excitement around the young roster, I hear substantially less about the "they moved to Cobb fvck them" stuff than I used to. Hell, most people say "I'll admit it, the Battery is great. It's fun to go to a game there." I was in the same boat - I hate the Cobb County thing and it pissed me off that they "won" after all these years and got the Braves.
They don't dominate everything like they did in the 90's, but they certainly haven't disappeared from the landscape. And, once they start getting good again, they will burst right back onto the scene.

Oh get the frick out of here. I hate Cobb County and laugh my arse off at their hypocrisy, but please don't act like the City of Atlanta didn't do give the Braves money out of some sort of moral authority position. They didn't do it because they'd already pledged everything to the Falcons for the Benz, and now are doing the same thing with the Hawks and the renovation of Philips.

Again, my guess is your definition of ITP is Decatur/Edgewood/Kirkwood/O4W/Midtown. A large chunk of ITP (Brookhaven, Chamblee, Buckhead, Sandy Springs, North Atlanta, Westside, Cumberland) still heavily cares about the Braves. Hell, you can throw a Vortex from the Upper Deck over to ITP, so it's not like it's in Johns Creek. I know because I'm around those places everyday and people talk about the Braves and going to games all the time.

Atlanta's not NYC and never will be, parking lots and cars may be too many in number, but that's the way people live here and it won't be changing anytime soon

Nice! It sounds like a cliche but it's so hard and takes so long you really just have to consistently work at it everyday and get in a groove of doing it. It's impossible to cram for, so you really just have to work until you despise it and everyone around you before whichever test you are taking.
Of course, your wife could be a genius and not have to do that, but us simpletons have zero room for error.
Also, highly suggest the good materials (Becker was what I used 10 years ago). The materials and the thousands of questions over and over really helped me figure out how to study for it. It takes an infinite possibility of material and at least zeroes it down to a large game plan.
Good luck to her. Don't hold it against her if she wants to murder you at random times hahahaha.
