Guess he totally forgot that they drafted Brett Favre and traded him after 1 season. I mean, what ever happened to THAT guy?
If Favre stays in Atlanta he washes out of the league within three years.

The biggest problem with it to me is the more modern setting. Part of what makes the Godfather films so cinematic is getting to see turn of the century Italy, New York, mid century Cuba, Vegas, etc.
The movie having a much more modern setting and look and feel makes it feel very disconnected from the other two and not nearly as "epic"
In fairness, the end of GF2 took place not much further back (1960) from when it was released (1974) than when GF3 took place (1979/80) from its release (1990).

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) becomes 29th House Republican to not seek reelection

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) announced Wednesday he will not seek reelection, ending his congressional career after more than a decade and adding to the ranks of Republicans declining to run for another term.
“I first ran for election to Congress in 2014 and, as I stated then, representing the people in Congress is a service, not a career; and although I continue to have strong support from the people of the Eleventh Congressional District, I believe it is time to contribute to my community, state, and nation in other ways,” Loudermilk, 62, said in a statement. “Therefore, I have decided not to seek re-election at the end of my current term in Congress.”
Loudermilk is the 29th Republican member of the House to say they will not seek reelection in 2026 — either to retire or to seek higher office — as Republicans brace for a tough midterm election. Loudermilk’s northern Georgia district is reliably Republican.
“I have learned throughout my life that doing what is right is not always easy, convenient, or popular. My wife and I have prayed diligently and discussed this extensively; and, while this is not an easy decision, we believe it is the right one. While serving my constituents in Congress ranks among my greatest honors, being a husband, a father, and a grandfather holds even greater importance to me; and at this time, I wish to spend more dedicated time with my family,” Loudermilk said.
