Cremation with interment.
quote:

If you want to live in a country the size of the space between Dallas and Shreveport, have at it. Move to Boston why don't ya? Oh, you'd have to live in New Hampshire to avoid taxes? So sorry.

So you’re saying we should pursue high-speed rail between DFW, Austin, Houston, etc?

quote:

It's the fantasy American lefties have; look at all the express trains! Paris to London on the train at 200kph! You never need a car to get to work in Brussels!

Sounds good to me (at least as far as not having to rely on a car for everything)
quote:

To answer your initial question, we 100% need more stringent training for drivers license and we need parents to teach their kids better. However, lifestyle differences explain the gap and actually make us much closer to the rest of the developed world than initially claimed.

Neither of which will ever happen.
quote:

That's what happens when your land is a completely different scale than your holy grail, Europe:

How is Europe my “holy grail?”
quote:

Less of that and more of we just want people to get out and live life. Our country is bigger. More people need to be able to drive themselves.

Unfortunately, we spent the last 70+ years designing our infrastructure to be nearly completely autocentric to the point where a car is required.

Because it’s a solid example of what these policies beget. It’s a living, breathing example of what happens when you elect people like this.

Except we don’t live in a vacuum.

In fact, it would probably be good overall for the rest of the country.

Why?
quote:

Yeah he’s got a bit of an ego, which is fine, but he kind of borders on narcissism. I wonder how bad his NPD was before getting old, you know when people really start to mellow out a bit?

Having to put his name on everything was fine when it was his buildings, but renaming the Kennedy Center and trying to rename Penn Station after himself is ridiculous.

It’s also why building honorariums are best reserved for the deceased.

Problem with the Thrashers was the ASG gave absolutely zero shits about the Thrashers

They were worse, they actively sabotaged the franchise.

Gonna be fun telling my 4 year old daughter next April why the Braves aren’t playing due to a lockout.
