Pittman alluded to running RPO in his presser. Here’s hoping that KJ wasn’t ruined by Craddock and Chad.

KJ will be a rFr next year. He’s still got the most upside. Don’t expect much next year but he could be really good by his jr year.

My guess would be KJ, though Starkel could get the nod if the new OC manages to reconstruct his confidence. Regardless I think that KJ has the inside track on getting the nod long term because I imagine we are going to want to run the ball a bit more.

We may also see some of the Arkansas HS QBs that Chad didn't show much interest in landing on the hill. The future of the program might be in the state playoffs as we speak.

I highly doubt it is Starkel. That guy isn't good. He's been passed over for someone else at two schools now because he can't stop from throwing the ball to the other team. Plus, he's a head case. He's a drama queen. I wish they would just dismiss him from the team.

Me too.

Then San Jose State happened and I wanted him kicked off the team. 5 interceptions. To San Jose State.

Then he was cracking jokes about it after.

He sucks.

I do to. There is always the chance the new OC works a miracle with him but I think Starkel is going to go down as one of those what the hell went wrong players. A ton of talent and he just fizzled out at this level.

I really think he can be saved to be at least be servicable with the right coach. Everyone regressed under Chaddock.

I'm blaming craddock for a lot of this mess. Obviously the ultimate blame goes on Morris for hiring him and sticking with him, but our defense was made to look much worse because of how bad our offensive playcalling was and I'm sure, the way they managed the QB situation in 2 years(probably 7-8 starters in 18 months?). Didn't get the best out of all the talent they had a shot at .

Seriously, what are the odds that out of 8-10 QBs they rostered, that not one was serviceable if they had played to their strengths?

It's easy to blame the previous coaches, but in Starkel's case, this was the second school he was benched at for the same damn thing.

The Aggy fans were telling us this as soon as he announced his transfer. He throws too many interceptions.

The guy just doesn't make good decisions.

ETA: Somehow I doubt that whoever we bring in to coach offense is going to be better at it than Kevin Rumlin.

My issue is you see first hand with burrow hurts fields that finding a quarterback and getting the most out of a quarterback isn’t an exact science. I think starkel has gifts a lot of guys don’t have physically. If he can get out of his own head and fix a few fundamental issues he could be pretty good. His arm is still better than kjs

Starkel needs to transfer down to FCS. I would probably try to bring in a grad transfer or JUCO QB just as a contingency to Jefferson and if they were to win the job then great. Have them back up KJ and have JSJ as an emergency QB with Criswell redshirting. I’m not sure who we could get without guaranteeing them the starting job but hell Kentucky got by using a WR at QB so you never know.

If we run an offense like Georgia did this year...Starkel probably gets the nod.

We need to firecracker train him. You slip a firecracker in his asscrack that has a remote detonator. Any time he throws an interception, you blast him. Would only take a few arse-crackers to get his head straight.
