Yep, I've been preaching this for a while now. By getting rid of Chad he's not admitting he failed or made a mistake in hiring him like almost every other coaching situation.

We don't even know if HY likes Chad on a personal level, or if they even get along. HY had no part in the interviews and selection process that would've weeded him out if he didn't like him.

“Not a good coach” is a huge stretch.

You could legit pull the players and an intramural leader off the fields and put a better product out here.

Not even kidding, a ps2 NCAA game fiend with our playbook could do better. That’s not hyperbole.

I mean my suggestion for Briles is looking better by the day. I mean it makes too much sense. Coach that took a Baylor team (a school in the B12 on the same level as ARK in the SEC) to BCS bowls. Has much better ties to the state of texas than the loser we have now actually. Coached a hiesman winner. Should have gotten a team into the CFP. Is an offensive Guru. Is available, and can be gotten for cheap. Still has the fire to win big, but we won't make the hire. We would never make the hire that is the best fit for our school.

So what loser coach will we hire that doesnt make sense?

I would be ok with freeze. Bill clark is probably the best that our stupid admin would actually consider. I'm not sure how his ties to texas are. I wouldn't be against retaining stepp actually off this staff. Him and Lunney are the only ones I would keep.

They are obviously smitten by his awesome recruiting, which landed us in our normal recruiting spot in the SEC

No one is 100% sure. I do know this is the letter Baylor sent to Briles

quote:

As you speak with others regarding these issues, you can be assured you may make certain statements without fear of contradiction from Baylor based on the information currently known to us.
“In particular, at this time we are unaware of any situation where you personally had contact with anyone who directly reported to you being the victim of sexual assault or that you directly discouraged the victim of an alleged sexual assault from reporting to law enforcement or University officials. Nor are we aware of any situation where you played a student athlete who had been found responsible for sexual assault.
“We wish you the very best in your future endeavors.”

So the school themselves would claim he didn't know of anything.

Dont understand the love with him. Dont forget HE HAD TO CHEAT to win. He isn't going to be hired anyway by us IMO. We just need someone who wants to win. I don't see that this season with Chad. There is no hurry or desire instilled into this team.

Yes, not a cheater, please. We aren’t Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, or Georgia. The NCAA will not look the other way while we cheat. So it might be good for a few thrills and temporary victories, the punishment will make you forget those temporary thrills.

Freeze and briles have way too much baggage to even be considered.

Schiano and Novell are about the best we can hope for. They have their own baggage but are employable.

Temporary thrills > whatever the frick we have now

By the way, Ole Miss came out for the better even with the penalties/sanctions. The NCAA is weak.

And yet, if their fans aren’t pieces of shite, they can’t look back and enjoy those victories and rankings.

You think they don't look back fondly on those Bama wins and good seasons? You don't have to be a "piece of shite" to do so. Being ok with paying players/side benefits doesn't make you a piece of shite.

This is college football, not the fricking church choir
