There is no Gus and us. Not no more.
Two things, don't tell nobody about how dumb our GOBN is. And when you're gone, you stay gone
You lost all your Arkansas privileges.

I really hope we have the program turned around when the bus returns to Fayetteville. I'd love nothing more than to whip Auburn's arse in front of a packed house.
I'm not campaigning for Lane but he'd probably troll the crap out of Gus following the win.

What's great about this whole deal is that Gus actually contacted Arkansas first after the Auburn game here when he was feeling pressure on his job.
He then again contacted people here after our LSU game, said he was ready to "come home".
Then he beats UGA and Bama each win his price is going up, but he's still coming.
This morning he tells them its a done deal, he's ready to leave.
This afternoon he agrees in principle to stay at Auburn for less pay, a lesser buyout, less power, and a lesser budget for assistant coaches.
He slapped a lot of influential people in the face with his antics through out this...

What’s ironic is that he’s had such a hard on for beating us the last 5 years after getting passed over in 2012, only to bitch out when the stars aligned for him and the opportunity presented itself again.
Here’s hoping that Norvell is a grudge-holding sociopath and wants to turn the tables on Auburn when we play them as retribution for being considered Plan B to Gus’s Plan A.

Does this mean we get rid of the t shirt fans?

How do you think this impacts Malzahn's recruiting in Arkansas going forward? Do the high school coaches still like him and would be compliant in helping steer what few good recruits we have toward Auburn?
If it helps lock up the state, I guess some good came of it.

Gundy was always my top choice. I was OK with Gus, but thought he was a douche. He's a perfect fit for Auburn. Norvell or Kiffen would be fine with me too.

If your criticism of Gus is that he's a douche, I'm not sure how you can support Kiffin in the next sentence
ftr Kiffin is my #1 right now

Different classes of douche imo.

Gus was a douche who used his state, his connections, his close friends...
Kiffen would be our douche to beat their douche with.

Gus is fricking goofy

It's hilarious that anyone actually thought Gus was coming here. I'm talking Grudcon levels of insanity.
Gus was treated like shite at Arkansas last time he was here. And some of those people responsible for his treatment are still involved with the program. He would sleep well if this program never won a game again.

I doubt he’s really hurt by it. The high school coaches in this state have never been particularly loyal to UA, so I doubt this changes anything.

I don't think it was totally out of the realm of possibility.
Especially if the wife wanted to.
However, if there was ever going to be a chance for him to 'come home', this was the one and only one chance, I feel pretty certain.

When he gets fired in two years and ends up at Tulsa, the joke will be on him.
