So, who do we choose for our bowl matchup? Apparently this is allowed now

With bowls being cancelled and conferences losing tie-ins, NCAA is going to allow teams to make up their own game to play after Dec. 19

Okie State and Texas seem to be getting a lot of mention for matchups, but if you could schedule anyone right now withing the region, who ya got?

I’d say just shut it down. I’d expect a half a dozen more opt outs if we play another game.

There’s nothing more to accomplish by playing a poorly attended scrimmage vs Memphis or la tech.

Selfishly, I'd like to play Wisconsin so I can establish the pecking order up here.

My total uneducated guess is that we'd go with someone close like Tulsa, though.

I mean Razorback football with 3rd stringers is better than no football to look forward to at all

Why, get more practice time in.

How about Arky State? Let’s give Butch Jones a warm welcome to the Natural State.

Otherwise Tulsa, Texas, or Okie State would be good.

Let’s get crazy and go with someone off the wall like Utah or Arizona State.

I'd rather see this or someone from the Big 10 than another old SWC/Big 8 team.

Any opposing QB who can't read zone coverage.

But there is much to be gained by the extra 'spring practice.'

Yeah it’s mind blowing to see these teams voluntarily give up the extra 15 practices. We can skip the game if you’re truly upset about it but you don’t pass on the extra practice and young guys getting extended reps. That’s something we’ve sorely been missing the last 3 years. 45 extra practices that all our rivals got while we sat at home.

We need an easier opponent.

I think Nebraska is a phenomenal matchup and that game would have a lot of draw and intrigue.

Arkansas has no rivals

I can see teams that have had a disappointing season skip them just keep down some of that negative energy. If everyone is at each others throats you don't want to keep them around each other longer.

Put the bad season behind you and come back with fresh body and mind.

Couple more weeks of practice is generally the advantage of playing in a shitty bowl.

They haven't been able to score more than 7 points in their last 3 games (Northwestern, Indiana, and Iowa). Very good defenses, yes, but that's still not an excuse to average less than 7 PPG. They ain't beating anybody's arse at this point in their season...they're just trying to get this shite over with.
