Players both past and present, Ridgeway came in, as did Chase Lowery, His dad, Co-DC/DB coach from West Virginia, even Foucha. This is crazyQ

Instead of these players moving on and being happy with their "business decision" they need to publically bash a former coach on social media
Low character move. Just move on

Or, giving context on what all was happening.
There were supposedly several more considering leaving when Pittman stepped in with Odom. Pittman did what a real CEO does, let the whiners go who couldn't handle the struggle and let the coach find a way out as well.
There was a whole lot in that context, along with recruiting, nil talks, etc...

Some of the stuff in that was wild. Said Carter would randomly call DBs late at night and cuss them out
Lowery’s dad said he was upset with Carter because after Chase had surgery he didn’t even bother to give him an update on it.

Foucha really didn't dish hard on the coaches, or Carter even. Said he loved his team mates. Someone said, "Wish you could come back" ANd it sounded like someone .. him perhaps said, "I wish"...
But there was alot of dishing by others against Carter and his treatment of others. Placing them in positions to fail, making fun of them, telling them "Where you gonna go, nobody wants ya" stuff like that.
Ridgeway wants our Nil to grow immensely. Wants to see some million dollar nils, spoke of talking with other organizations that may help, etc.
I found it funny when Coach Carter entered for like 30 seconds, and left quickly. And the coach from Cinci I believe. It was nuts, but then some idiot started taking over and putting down pittman, etc.

quote:if this is true then honestly carter seems to have a personality similar to myself. Winning drives them and sometimes the way they project their will to win to the players isn’t always the most positive but it just means they want it bad, and they’re trying to motivate the players but that personality doesn’t always sit well with players/other coaches. I can still remember my first year coaching high school football, before I learned to control my emotions better, and in practice one day without even realizing it I just blurted out to one of my players, “___, are you fricking retarded?” And looking back that’s no way to treat a young player but lucky for me everyone just laughed it off. I feel bad for carter and understand where he’s coming from with the drive to win but you’ve got to find a way to relate to The players and get them to buy in to what you’re selling. Hopefully both parties are better off.

Saw this while looking at football scoop.
My how the mighty have fallen

South Alabama: Sources tell FootballScoop Kane Wommack has added Paul Petrino as an offensive analyst and Greg Frey as a defensive analyst. Petrino served as head coach at Idaho the past 9 seasons. Frey coached offensive line at Duke the past two seasons and has previously coached at Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Memphis, Indiana and more.

Stuff like this really makes me wonder what exactly did Paul learn under Bobby? For him to be head coach or Idaho for 9 years and then end up an analyst for a very low level d1 school tells you he wasn’t thought of very highly even in the coordinator ranks but someone must’ve thought some of the pure knowledge from Bobby P rubbed off on him in some way even if he isn’t able to translate it to players

Honestly I’m surprised he didn’t end up here at Missouri State. That would have made more sense than South Alabama.

Bobby might not have wanted his arse

Honestly how well has any coordinator done without Bobby? Garrick McGee, remember when every moron wanted him to be hired to keep it rolling?

I'm not even sure why Petrino had coordinators at all.

I always heard he would yell and scream at the defense if they fricked up his receivers route running. We also all heard how at half time he would go fix everything on the defense.

3.5 weeks in and this is already the wildest offseason to not involve a HC search that I've seen

This is what made the NBA the “most popular” sport. It turns football into a year round sport.
