Leach was turned down by many schools. State was desperate enough to get him. LSU lost a lot from last year and so I would hold up on the regrets.

this is week 1, and people always over react to those games. lsu might be total shite this year. if we can find any kind of running game we might be able to win a couple games.

keeping him from being an elite coach.

It's recruiting. It will always be recruiting for him. He got a nice win but I wouldn't start guzzling the Leach koolaid just yet. As rev said i expect him to drop at least one head scratcher this year.

That is the problem, no one cares or Chad would not be here.

I would have been happy with Sonny Dykes.

I think the problem he wasn't hired in the SEC is because he is eccentric. Some people see it as weird and it rubs people the wrong way. Not everyone cares for the pirate stuff.

We weren't the only one that passed him off. I think his interviewing skills didn't help. Petrino was the same way but Leach is a little more personable but not much.

He is Dan Mullen level. Win an upset but lose a stinker.

The defense definitely showed improvement. I like what I saw from the secondary at times. DL did a good job stopping the run.

BUT..

Most of our success was against that awful QB they had in early.

That other QB they brought in didn't have much trouble moving the ball down the field on us.

I don’t think leach will ever win an sec championship because like you said and I agree he is due to drop a few games he shouldn’t just like he’s due to normally win a game or 2 he shouldn’t and doesn’t recruit great but he’s going to be consistent and he’s going to win 8 or 9 games on average even at state. That’s what we need right now we need a guy who’s gonna get us respectable and get high school kids interested in Arkansas again and I hope Pittman is the guy for that and I think he can be but there’s no doubt as someone else said leach would’ve been the closest thing to Petrino that we would’ve had since he left. Now is leach beatable very, I think we will find out a lot about our team next week against them but there’s no doubt his team is going to always score points

We have to start the rebuild somewhere. I don't think Odom or Briles came here to destroy their career. Georgia is the most talented team we'll play this year so I'm not chugging bleach just yet.

This is our chance, they will favored by double digits and will surely overlook us.

Meanwhile Florida State head coach offense looks stellar.

Historically we always had better players, Nutt went 9-1 against them.

Lol this!

They lost so much and have Ed w terrible staff now. Heisman - gone, OC & DC - gone. Have stud out for seizure and players decided to opt out.

We will probably beat them if they implode anymore.

Not having any kind of success running the ball was the biggest factor in our loss today, imo.

Yeah I just wished I’m the 2nd half we would’ve taken more shots deep although the refs let uga get away with murder I’m the secondary it seemed like. The one deep
Ball to burks the dudes pulling on his jersey the whole way then uses burks to leap up and try to knock the ball down. After we realized run wasn’t working frick handing it off for 2 yard gains throw it deep maybe something good will happen doesn’t matter if we gas the defense out or not at that point if you care about winning you try something new who cares if you lose by 1 or 100 a loss is a loss think the players kept fighting but the coaches just wanted to keep it close and work on the offense

Yeah. O-line got a lot of praise this preseason but they stunk it up today. Most disappointing part of the game.

The Georgia Defense last year didn't give up a single rushing touchdown.

It was terrible matchup for our offense.

I don't expect a bunch of new faces on the offensive line to play well against the best run defense in the nation.

I'm watching Florida State offense right now and they are much worse than us.

They are very similar.

Leach passes the ball a lot more but is just as analytical and calculating with his offensive strategy as is Petrino. Maybe even more so. And he's the type of coach who can make good quarterbacks look great. I have a gut feeling that he's going to be coaching at MSU for a while.
