2 losses is the lean year. This was supposed to be the lean year, young team, but he has all the best players physically. Then he puts them in all the best positions to make plays.

It will happen eventually as age has a way of negatively impacting the mind and body. All the great head coaches were in decline when they retired. Some didn't want to ruin the programs they built while some were stubborn and were fired. He isn't going to coach past 80 when his health such as his mental state if it goes into decline. If Saban is smart, he retires while he is still on top.

If anything happens, Saban goes 9-3 and spoiled Bama fans scream to the sky that Saban has lost it and needs to move on. Saban gets tired of whining from Bama fans and retires. If he doesn't then Alabama will make sure he doesn't let the program slip thus no coaching until dead.

It is never a lean year for Saban until he has a lean year.

We have a long row to hoe before we can compete with the elite teams in the west.

I thought we competed with every west team very well this year. Only team that whipped us was from the east. We beat 2 of the 3 teams that recruit at a high level in LSU/A&M and hung with Bama till the end. We will probably be better next year.

I just dont see how anyone can sit there objectively looking at all we lose on defense not to mention our main offensive threat and think that we will be better next year.

I can see the argument that QB play is way more important than anything else, and KJ will continue improving hopefully. The offensive line has a good chance to be better as well.

We really need some answers at LB/DL though

10 or 12 beers and I’m on my way to believing any number of things that don’t make sense.

Arkansas brings most DL back next year. It is very difficult to find just decent LBs in the portal.

Are we not losing Utsey and Ridgeway?

I good d-line can go a long way to masking linebacker issues. I’ll feel better if our lines are solid

Probably but they have the option of playing in the senior bowl and coming back I think.

So if they don’t get good grades from scouts and get things to work on, they could come back?

Danny posted this on 247 tonight. Looks like we might get that A&M treatment.

Not telling you to freak out just yet, but there's at least rumblings on PSU's side that it might not happen. Just want to be as up-front as possible so no one assumes it's on Arkansas' end. Arkansas is ready to play the game. Worst case, maybe you can link up with Bret and Illinois, who are looking for an opponent. I'm here for it. Again, nothing even close to official, but head on a swivel tonight.

If they know now, and don’t say anything until later, they should have to pay Arkansas the winners purse for not playing.

This should be a clause in all bowl acceptance from now on.

Can you imagine how hung over Bert would be on a New Years day? Hogs by 100 if that happens.
