I don't like the road matchup. I'd be
More confident at home. But would love the Mississippi and Texas sweep this year

Yeah, we need some more WR's to step up and for them to be able to get the ball.

We still need to develop the intermediate threat better.

Will be watching nonetheless... Good Lord Willing!

11am kickoff, road game does not sound like a good recipe to me. Plus, no matter how down Ole Miss is after losing to Bama, Corral and Kiffin have had the Arkansas rematch on their mind for a year.

Odom exposed them badly, and they basically changed their whole defense to fix it. They run the same 3-3-5/3-2-6 scheme that we do now, and have practiced against it all season so a 6-INT game would never happen again.

In saying all that, Arkansas seems to have some kind of weird voodoo on Ole Miss, so who the hell knows what will happen.

Sounds like our offense should know it well too then.

Both offenses seemed to struggle in our game last year and part of it is probably because both defenses face the exact same offense in practice every day. Might be another reason our defense did so well against it.

If Georgia doesn’t beat us twice we’ll be ok.

Getting blanked the way we did can leave a mark… the motivation speech needs to be more compelling than the aTm one IMO.

If forced to place a straight up wager I would have to go OM because I still don’t have confidence in the QB position, or Briles for that matter.

Defense had absolutely no help from the offense or special teams in Athens.

Kendall briles is one of the top offensive coordinators in the entire country. We’ve ran for over 300 yards in a game and thrown for over 300 in the same season. We have the number 12 scoring offense in the country even after getting shut out by one of the top 5 defenses in the past 40 years. We’ve got a year 1 qb who we’ve got at least 2 more seasons with most likely and a potential phenom as his backup. If we keep Kendall and Barry (which is a huge if) for the next 4 years we will play for an sec title.

A&M sucks and Texas would have been a lot tougher with the second QB

This gets overlooked a lot. Texas game would have been very close with their current QB

All three of these things aren't happening.

And we also aren't going to recruit well enough to do that. 8th to 10th best class in our own conference isn't getting that done.

You need to chill on your expectations.

Petrino had every star possible align for him and still never did it. Bert too.

If nutt can do it this group of coaches can. Saban won’t coach for eternity and Petrino would have got it done eventually imo

Completely different landscape and he did by either pure chance with crappy records or with a once in a generation type of player. Hell, a Top 5 college player of all time.

Briles is not going to stay a coordinator here for 4 years man. You're crazy.

A. I never said he would. B. There’s a lot of people shitting on him so I was simply stating the fact that he is in fact a good OC and many people would love to have him

I don’t get the Briles slander. Numerous people say we have the best OC/DC duo, and one if not both would be getting major job offers after the season.

Briles is actually good, not Dan Enos.

I wouldn’t mind if we gave briles the coach in waiting title at all. People forget the dude is still young as hell. He’s only going to get better and he’s got another 30 years coaching in him at least probably

Eh, they still had to scrape by the goal line on 4th down even with him in just to score in garbage time. He's better but don't think he makes the game any closer than two possessions. Texas lost every position battle, not just QB.

Texas got destroyed on the line of scrimmage both sides of the ball. A better QB wouldn't do much to impact the game. Some Texass fans on the rant want to brag that game was a fluke.

They needed a little help from the ref just to score the last TD which he didn't make.

At some point I feel like we will have to give KJ the opportunity to win or lose the game. I think it could be this week.

Sam knew the game was over but if it was close then you can bet it would be overturned.
