Can't say I'd take Beard over Muss at this point. Especially with the transfer portal and how Muss plays it. Game changer.

Well, he also beat him heads up in the Sweet Sixteen. I said the same thing at the time. That the only option I would have been more excited about was Beard. Muss has exceeded my expectations and they were very high from the start.

I'll bump it to make my own self look even more stupid at that point, and do it proudly!

Time to bump this thread where everyone was pissed we didn't get Beard.

I should also note that I previously promised I wouldn't bump until he won the natty later this year, but it seemed warranted once again

The Muss DUI history was choir boy behavior compared to the rest of the coaches in that search:

Sampson: NCAA show cause.

Marshall: Staff and player abuse, including choking assistant.

Beard: Domestic violence, impeding breath circulation (choking).

Crazy to think that 2 of the coaches mentioned prominently in that search were or might be fired for cause in just 3 years time.

Muss is too small to be putting hands on people. He just yells a lot.

Close.

Muss expects his teams to play defense.

Idk muss doesn't seem like petrino to me. Other than he hated to lose and has been known to tell opponents to frick off...

Muss is much better culturally and with the media than petrino. His players seem to like him more.

Muss is also a much better recruiter and relies on that talent advantage to win matchups.

Muss is also primarily a defensive coach. Our basketball teams aren't exceptional offenses Especially early on.

Yeah, I don't expect to see Bobby Petrino leading college football coaches in Twitter interactions like Muss does with basketball

This is his speciality, not only getting talent that can win matchups offensively but getting that talent to buy in on the defensive end just as much. That’s hard to do in this day and age but he does it every year.
