ok, I haven't had any excitement at all this year, until now.

I just watched CCM's Presser from today. He is tough, but seems more than fair. He pushes those fellas and doesn't settle for excuses. It seemed to be much more than just coach talk, but that his plan is beginning to work. He holds those kids to higher standards...

I now have drunk a bit of the Kool-Aid

I don't believe we will win more than 6, but I do believe we can do that, simply because of the lack of quality players/time for the younger ones. But I do believe we will be much improved. Yep, looking a bit more forward to the season...

I just finished the presser too and feel the same. You can tell his team is growing under him and becoming what he expects. Keep it going Chad!

Burks Catch

Malik Chavis had a good play breaking up a pass from JSJ to Koilan Jackson when it looked like Jackson had a step on him.

Craziness how he is letting his talent go to waste. That lack of work ethic will bounce him out of NFL opportunity real fast if he gets a sho

Started in High School. Daryl Patton ran a really shitty program that let prima donna players get away with murder. CJ would rarely practice during the week in high school, claiming to be hurt, and still get to start every Friday.

Feeling really, really good about our WRs. At least on the outside.

That’s not the catch that he referenced. That catch is from today and the one being talked about was yesterday.

Gotcha. Guess we'll just have to take his word for it.

Morris isn’t the only one talking about it so whatever happened it was impressive.

What young receivers have stood out?

“Treylon Burks, definitely Trey Knox also, but Treylon Burks,” Foucha said. “He reminds me of Julio (Jones) with his size and his ease and how he can catch a ball in a by position. So definitely would be Treylon Burks.

“I didn’t see the catch today, but I definitely saw the catch yesterday on film. At first we thought he didn’t catch it, but we watched it on another video and a better angle and he grabbed it in. That’s why I said he reminds me of Julio. I have only saw Julio do something like that and he is a freshman. He is going to do some big things also.”

Treylon is going to be a beast for us. God given talent and a work ethic that you wish every kid had.

Our WR unit is going to be great for the foreseeable future.

TE unit looks to be another strength as well.

RB unit looks solid and could be great if we could get a consistent #2 guy to help carry the load. Hopefully Whaley can be a force alongside Boyd.

OL is the unit that can make a 5 win season turn into a 7/8 win season by controlling LOS when we need them to.

QB play can't be any worse than last year so hopefully they exceed expectations.

As far as the defense goes, I saw a lot of things I liked last year. But at times I saw a lot of guys that were lolly gagging instead of fighting. Hopefully an attitude adjustment will keep these guys engaged on every single play no matter what the score is.

I believe he was saying that wasn't the catch they were referencing in the interviews. They didn't post video of that one for whatever reason.

This is where I think Chavis deserves credit. Our defense wasn't amazing last season but it was much better than the Bielema's last year here. One of our supposed leaders on defense (Santos) was horrible. Santos went from a pretty good defender who gave effort and had pop -

to playing tag with the football, whiffing on tackles, and watching the play instead of running to the ball -

I know coaching changes and the general grind can cause you to wear down. It's easy to go sour but you've got to nut up and perform or get out of the way. It sucks b/c it was his senior season but he made a choice to play with a piss poor attitude.

Hopefully a renewed Chavis (see high stepping twitter video) will keeping moving this defense forward. You can overcome some of your deficiencies on defense with effort and mean mfer attitude.

I picture you waking up every morning and throwing a few darts into a cutout of Morris you have hanging on your wall. The vitriol you have towards Morris is frankly impressive at this point.

Maybe not then. But I was pretty impressed with that one anyway.

I don't hate the guy, I just think he's a bad coach. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

So give us all an example of a “good coach” we could have hired that would be better.
