Giovanni LaFrance enters the transfer portal.

Honestly surprised he lasted this long after being so far down the depth chart.

Wish we would have gone with Norvell. But the U of A is basically UT-Fayetteville now. The admins are obsessed with Texas, so they went with Chad.

Yeah I would have expected him leave before last year.

Norvell is too worried about chasing department employees than getting a better job

See you wanted a guy who took over a Memphis program built by Fuente that was coming off of 9 and 10 win seasons, and are bashing a guy for a terrible record when he took over a team with 5 and 1 win seasons.

It’s just an apples and oranges comparison. Morris probably would have won more at Memphis instead of SMU.

Shh.. your bringing way to much logic into an argument with stonehog. Remember this is a guy who defended fat frick tooth and nail to the bitter end and mike because of their success at previous jobs even though they had both already proven on the court and field that they couldn’t cut it.

Pointing out Chad's terrible record is not bashing, it's just a fact. Some folks just want to blame his record on anyone but Chad. It's always someone else's fault.

You have no capability of understanding context do you? You simply look and think if person A wins more games than person b in year z then person A is the better coach regardless of personnel scheme conference division locker chemistry etc. there’s a lot that goes into winning a football game. Comparing Morris at smu and norvell at Memphis isn’t the same thing

I never even compared them, another poster asked me for an example of another coach we could have hired.

And so when you named him you were comparing him to chad.. as someone you’d rather have!

This thread is about fall camp. Yet here we are arguing with stonehog about pinkel...

What everyone should be really focusing on is the fact that from this last class we have at least 3 players who are gonna play 3, and go pro. Probably high in the draft in Burks, Knox, and soli. I know they are young, but if Chad really is as bad as stonehog thinks. Then we will know it if he squanders having 3 guys like this on both sides of the ball. These are the kinds of players we need to win. He clearly has gone out and gotten some. We are still young, and half the roster is hold overs. Stonehog will return after this season crowing about how bad Chad is with us going 5-7 6-6 7-5. When everyone with a brain just knows we are still young, out gunned, and not even saban could coach this team to any more wins than that.

I read that Catalon has had a couple of plays that would have been pick 6's in a live game

All new guys making noise and pushing the older guys. Chad is creating competition and everyone is benefiting. Sounds like great synergy and hope we can keep it.

Indeed. I'm not at the stage where I am ready to start shoveling dirt on the current coaching regime... but I'm not guzzling down the kool-aid either.

We will see soon enough.
