Final numbers for the bottom of the order guys
Slavens: .255/.332/.523, 16 HR, 58 RBI, 66 K
Moore: .232/.374/.437, 8 HR, 44 RBI, 46 K
Gregory: .212/.414/.363, 5 HR, 18 RBI, 62 K
That is an atrocious stat line for a DH, a highly projected draft pick, and a 9 hole hitter on any team.
The fact that there was nobody on the bench to bump Gregory from the lineup is a huge indictment on Nate Thompson. In 146 AB’s , Gregory struck out 62 times. That’s a K rate of over 42%.

Heartbreaking finish. So proud of the team. I gave up on them in May. Sucks to lose out. Last night was electric.

Moore was a major disappointment, but I still think he's gone.
Slavens and Gregory were no surprise.
Webb was a pleasant surprise and may have played himself into getting drafted after getting beat up by a 40+ year old hot dog vendor.

He sure didn't show any reason to think he would, especially when you consider the OBP along with it. Let's hope he breaks out next season.

What are you, his daughter?
Surely you’re not trying to compare the two and the careers they’ve had?
Norm was in a conference with one threat each conference season, Texas.
DVH has coached in the toughest league in America his entire tenure and has produced better results in a shorter period of time.
Just stop with your dumbass takes.

You make a list with the programs accomplishments and 20 years after he retired over half of those accomplishments are still his.
He built this program from nothing and ought to be shown the respect he deserves for doing so at every opportunity.

Hey don't come on here going all HV on him jk

Yep the only thing norm has on dvh currently is a single conference title. He won 3 to Dave’s 2 and we should all know by now how utterly worthless those are to winning a natty
Posted on 6/24/22 at 10:30 am to Hawgnsincebirth55
Dave is better and the results show that he is.

Any word on coaching changes yet?
Thompson was crazy emotional crying in the team huddle yesterday after the game.
Seemed abnormal for him so purely guessing he may be leaving. Or was just really into this team and run and took it extra hard.

His brother got the Baylor job. Can only assume they'd want to link up.
