Slavens is too good with the glove and a lefty to move off of first. If we insert Wilkerson at a corner, then maybe Bates in CF and Wallace at 3rd. Wilkerson in left and Welch in right. Goodheart at DH. Turner to 2nd and Moore at SS.

In DVH's latest PC, he actually sounded hopeful that Stovall would make it to school. You could also tell he is definitely expecting Muncy to sign.
Also, Drake Varnado moved in to his dorm today. He tagged Hagen Smith on the tweet. So, maybe there is also some hope that Smith will make it school as well.

Vandy gets fully rested and both Texas/MSU have to play another game.
Vandy now gets to pitch Leiter in the CWS finals and Rocker a potential game 3.
Leiter would've been out for the CWS finals had they played NC State in the scheduled elimination game.

He would have been available on short rest for Wednesday, just like Rocker will be on short rest Tuesday

He certainly wouldn't be on full rest to start game 1 of the CWS finals and the negatives of facing elimination Vandy should have to deal with by losing the game previous to NC State were all washed away.
He threw 120+ pitches four days ago and would've had to do something similar today unless Vandy rested him in the elimination game.
They go from having to use there best pitching to a team having super rest vs a taxed opponent.

We went 5-0 against the last 3 teams standing. Just crazy how bad our timing was this year.

Vandy has the edge. State won’t have their ace and Vandy will have one of theirs available.
