If we hired a strength and conditioning coach who led a mutiny and tore the locker room apart then you have to fire Pittman don't you? That's not gonna bode well for him being able to select good future hires and recruit players.

I’ve seen more where he was just a whiny bitch about only making 425k. And of course he’s gonna have some players closer to him than others so his griping may have worn off on them.

Reflects poorly on whoever hired him still. Hiring the staff as a CEO coach is what we're paying for....if Pittman can't do that right then.......

If he went 6-6 with this schedule and a mutiny in the locker room while everyone hated the "team leader" QB then we need to build him a statue and beg him to stay forever.

JFC….the portal and NIL have completely turned fans into tin foil hat wearing lunatics. Not just ours, almost every board or on social media there’s talk of mass exoduses, fractured locker rooms, poaching, etc. I cannot believe how dumb college football has now made its collective fans with these new rules.

I’m not saying they hate each other, I am saying at times it didn’t look good on the field. Whether it be the way our offensive line just sucked or played lights out. Whole defense too…

I'm worried about the portal this season, particularly a mass exodus where we lose much more than we gain.
At least after last season we had a 9-4 record to point at and tell portal guys "see, we just need your help to get over the last little hump". We had something to actually sell to those guys in the portal, and we landed some studs
But after a 6-6 showing where the team had several meltdown games, it'll be hard to convince any top guys that Arkansas is the right choice for them. I guess we'll see, and we're at least lucky that Sam is a likeable coach that kids want to play for.
But I just have a baaaaaaad feeling

I don’t think that makes a crap anymore. Young kids only see $$ signs.
Throw out a few million in NIL dollars and all problems are solved.

Works several ways, you can sell immediate playing time with a bad record which would be important for portal guys.
No one has had their draft stock fall due to poor team play this season, some have fell because of their individual play, but the majority of the portal guys from last year improved their draft stock tremendously.

Aggy has been the only one to do this and finished at the bottom of the sec as a result.

Arkansas needs to invest more in NIL and hit the portal hard. If not then it is going to be a bad season next year.
