I'd like to have another QB out of the portal. We don't need to burn Criswell when KJ gets injured next season.

He is two years in isnt he? Meaning he already burned that redshirt year.

It was my understanding that Criswell has 3 remaining, hence the comments about Singleton leaving if we make it obvious Criswell is our guy after KJ.

I guess we'll see how it all shakes out, our coaches get paid millions for these decisions and we're only a bunch of dudes on a message board

Bama has lost 10 players to the portal. Aggies lost 10 players as well. Time to get to work.

We will see how far behind or not so behind we truly are in NIL game after this portal cycle.

On a potentially very positive note, my person who is close to several players is hearing it is a good possibility that Catalon is coming back next year. NFL has concerns about him not playing much due to injury and needs to see if he can stay healthy.

I would love to see him back but also don't want him to miss his window to turn pro if it is open for him.

not surprising. Dudes hella good but we hardly ever throw the ball and we do it isn’t going to him

This still doesn't make a lot of sense. He could have easily been THE guy this year.

Burks had 895 and 1200 yard seasons, drafted first round and Landers had almost 800. He will likely be drafted as well.

But then again, maybe he got tired of the intramural flag football route trees. No Telling.

Ketron should have had playing time priority over Haselwood if you ask me. Hard to do that though when Haselwood is older and you sold him the world to transfer here.

Ketron is a big loss.

In potential maybe, but not in production.

We got Haselwood and Landers via the portal last year, so I see no reason we can’t find actual production at receiver there again.

Agree. He will do better in a system with a pocket passer. With all the new offensive players coming in and KJ coming back it was a good decision for him to move on. He will do well wherever he goes and we shouldn't feel bad about it.

We shouldn't feel bad about losing our top 2 receivers and the 3rd in line choosing to leave?

wut?

my person on the inside is close to Ketron. He was staying as of Sunday. Something happened yesterday to change his mind. No clue what it is. They talked to him Sunday and he was all good.
Wonder what changed?

We started going after portal receivers is my guess, as we should have. The top 1 or 2 guys are going to have a lot of opportunities with KJ returning.

As noted in the Liberty Bowl thread, Drew Sanders is going pro.

Not surprised, he has a high draft grade.

A good offer from another school perhaps? We know that kind of stuff happens.

There are plenty of solid ones in the portal already. I'd take Wease from OU, Christian Leary from Bama, and Cody Jackson From Houston and be dang happy.

We can sell playing time to get serviceable receivers for our offense.
