He deserves a statue. It was really sad to watch everyone else fizzle while he gutted it out today. GOAT baseball player for us.

I wonder if the performance today and 7 inning outing last weekend earned him some money. I know they say he doesn’t project well for the next level but he proved he can be a 100 plus pitch guy if need be

I understand him not being a can't miss fireballer like Rocker or Leiter, but he's proven he can play a number of different roles in terms of opener/short starter, middle relief, setup, closer, etc.

I can't fathom why someone wouldn't take a chance on him given all that he brings to the table.

Agreed.

We can be furious about a lot of things, but tops for me is the fact that our lineup let Kopps down two days in a row (much moreso today obviously).

He's been bailing their asses out all season. This was bound to happen at some point.

When it comes to being a hog fan, I'm seasoned to expect a swift kick in the coconuts when good things are happening. This collapse is no exception to what I felt was coming after DVH fricked up game 2.

What I do have a difficult time with is Kopps being let down. He didn't deserve this loss. Our putrid offense and DVH shitting the bed in game 2 gave Kopps this loss yesterday.

All of this is typical Arkansas.

I very much appreciate DVH elevating our program from when he took it over from DeBriyn. I'm hoping when DVH retires, that the next hire will elevate our program even further and these type of collapses will be a distant memory.

I hope Vitello has his sights set on an eventual return back to Baum somewhere in the future.

DVH retires, Arkansas botches the search and hires the Chad Morris of baseball.

That probably what is going to happen given the history.

Yep.

We've had too much success and continuity over the last 50 years in baseball, so the sports gods are going to ensure that bull comes due once DVH retires.

We've got an AD who appears to be good at making hires. Thst may change faster than dvh leaves. Should we get rid of dvh now so yurachek can make the decision vs whoever our next ad hire is

While I agree, but is there no former player being groomed?

Idk much about Wernes, but seems like there has to be a former player out there coaching well.
