Quarterbacking is still done with the arm and the brain. Lemar Jackson and Deshaun Watson are rarities not the norm. Tua doesn't run well. Trevor Lawrence is big and can rumble for a first down, but he's far from a runner.

yes he does. hes had a knee injury most of year and still has some big runs and plays with his legs. he doesnt need to most of the time though.

so hes a big guy that uses his legs to get yards ane make plays but is not a runner?

there are better runners who play QB sure but it's not like they're a Ryan mallet 5.2 40 time

Neither was Clemson’s best WR that torched Alabama this time a year ago. Not saying our WRs will be on that level but they should be a pretty significant upgrade.

The only thing anyone should be asking with these potential transfers is "Are they better than what we currently have?"... As was the case with Bryant, Buechele is certainly better than what we currently have. Jury still out on Noland and KJ hasn't taken a snap yet. I think long term either of those guys could be what we need at QB.

However, until they develop enough why not try to improve as much as you can?

Buechele may not be the guy I wanted but I do think he's better than what we have at the moment. I'll take him if he wants to be a Hog.

A warm body from the intramural field is better than what we have at the moment.

I can't for the life of me think of a logical reason why any real Razorback fan wouldn't want him here. He's easily a massive upgrade across the board and would give KJ time to develop.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the response I saw on twitter yesterday of folks being upset that Storey was leaving.

Seriously though, I think some are still just waiting for this magical QB to come out of nowhere and announce he is transferring. I wasn't very excited when I first heard this news but after watching some film and thinking it over. Do not see any better options. The only QB that I would want over him is hurts, just because his included threat as a runner. Shane is a much better passer though. Hurts ain't walking through that door though so I'd be very happy with Shane atm.

Buechele would be a better fit overall than Hurts IMHO! Dude can throw a pass on a dime. And showed the ability to get the ball out quickly, which is a must with our O line.

Hurts was a great Runner with some good passing.

Buechele is a good runner with some great passing.

We have some monster WR's coming in, some early, and this is one position that doesn't take as long to develop as some others on a team.

I watched Trey this morning and he said that Shane Buechele isn't even in the portal yet. Where's these sources coming from besides him being a possibility or odds favorite.

Because he is graduating in may, and he was passed up by a freshman. Why stay, and be a back up?

Just asking, since it seemed like he was in the transfer portal from comments.

So why hasn’t he submitted his name to the portal yet? Everyone’s talking like he’s coming but if he’s not in the portal then that means he hasn’t even had contact with our coaches yet
