I was pretty disappointed in Pulley. He did have the INT but got beat more than I would expect from the praise we’ve given him. Also hate to say it but Ramirez might be the most overrated player we’ve had in a long time to me.

Top to bottom doesn't matter. There are positions that impact the game more than others. QB is one of the largest, if not the single most impactful.

Their QB made some clutch plays. On their 96-yard drive, Armon Watts was all in his face on a 3rd down and he somehow threw it across his body for the first down. Then a few plays later he throws a desperation pass while being hit and the receiver slides to catch it like a center fielder in baseball and makes it look easy.

It might not have been a good playcall, but Kelley practically ran into that sack on 3rd down late in the game. Any other QB with some athletic ability probably finds a way to escape that.

I don't understand this. He's already recruiting better than Bert did. Why would you assume this is where we'll be in 3 years? There will be a massive difference in talent between this roster and 3 years from now.

Doesnt matter. Dumb frick Chad will squander it and find ways to lose.

He's Danny Ford 2.0. I hope he recruits like a boss so the next guy can come in and do something, and we wont have Clint Stoerner to give it away for us

Good plays can fail with bad players. I don't see the harm in actually placing the blame on lack of talent. It's very evident we lack talent. I see a lot of people criticizing the playcalling but no one criticizing why our WR's couldn't get separation against Colorado fricking State.

Here is the real truth. It was the problem last year. Bert lived off of keon who was given to him, drew morgan who he almost didnt take, and wouldnt play until everyone got hurt, and he benched his best big play threat due to pettiness.

Jred looks pedestrian after his injuries, and losing the other guys to pull looks away from him.

The biggest problem with this team is that the entire offense is garbage. They are not sec players, and the defense has some sec players, and not enough to put 11 guys, let alone a 2 deep.

This team has been mentally weak since 2016. Its time for chad to bench some seniors besides armon watts (who played his arse off the whole game) and start playing his freshman, and start building for year 4 now.

I would say Jones and Pettway are SEC players, Woods will be that caliper at some point. Nothing wrong with our backs.
I think our TE's are very average... I like Patton but he's not the kind of TE we are used to having.

Reality is our O LINE is so bad that its going to limit the passing game and our QB's don't have a ton of ability either.

The o line held fine actually most of the night in pass pro. Our sacks were from 5 wide. With 5 blockers, when they brought 6.

I did not think I'd say this, but the O-Line played a perfectly fine game. Not great maybe, but they did about as well as can be expected and quite a bit better then we actually expected them to do. This one is not on them.

no, it's not... it was on the coaching overall.

I think it will get corrected, Morris had the "Deer in the headlights" look during the presser. He knows that it must be more creative to make up for defects within the talent. or so I choose to believe

I hope that fricker is a fast learner because I really like him but he moved down several notches after that display.

Chad, Gus, Freeze and like only have the ability to try to force their opponent into a game of checkers when they are wanting to play chess.

The one thing the above three should have going for them with their high school experience is they are not able (within the rules) to have a roster full of "their guys" or they had to work with what was available to them in the high school ranks.

Granted they are facing competition with the same problem, but you would think that the High School experience would have taught them the skill set of adapting to their talent available.

Tulsa must have given both Chad and Gus their play book and said "you can work from this" as both were completely different play callers/ran a different offense there than elsewhere. Freeze showed the ability to adapt to his available talent the best of the three to be fair.

I believe we all expected Petrino and Bert to continue to try to push square pegs into round holes until they got the round players (no pun intended).

Chad has gone on rants about how he wanted to run everything from single wing, veer, power i to wishbone in his high school playbook but instead had to scale it back to what the players were able to execute (paraphrasing).

He said he was going to watch film of the players before spring, he was going to examine players during the spring and fall, and yet here we are jamming square pegs into round holes, like frick Chad I don't care that we don't look like Clemson offensively right now, just beat fricking CSU.

To be fair to morris his best qb (storey) has no real film, and a noodle arm.

He also is terribly inaccurate.

I thought it was interesting Craddock was asked who the 3rd QB would be right now and he said Noland instead of Hyatt. Wouldn’t surprise me if Connor plays in the next few games.

He's had all of spring, fall, and two games of live action to see his ability, so you can make the argument that Storey is a practice allstar who faulters in games in which case its time to call NEXT in the rotation or Chad is a charlatan in the QB scouting/development department due to the luck of coaching a special talent at the position elsewhere.

We've seen plenty of coaches here and elsewhere who had similar or worse QB play pull of wins against CSU level competition when having a stable of running backs similar to what he has currently.

Has a QB taken a snap from under center and ran a play this year?

If its obvious to everyone that the two tried options at QB aren't the answer, then it is time to move on to Hyatt, JSJ, or Nolan especially with the presumption that Chad has "his" QB coming in next year and better QBs to follow (even if not his son). Just looking at the roster and numbers, keeping redshirts shouldn't be a high priority as most of these guys will be elsewhere in the next few year if better talent at the position is truly coming in.

Well how was he to know storey was a practice all star without putting him in games? He played decent the week before. Awful the next. I agree that its time to just start playing freshman and take our lumps across the board.

Agreed Rev. The guy has a degree in mathematics. I think he will figure out that the 4th and 1 was a no brainer.

Im gonna have faith that he can learn from his mistakes. He has shown offensive chops in his career and has shown that he has the work ethic. At this point having faith in the guy going forward is really our best bet as fans.

None of this equates to "giving him a pass year 1."
