We got a kid getting arrested for a DUI. We got a kid who is failing academically... Hell yes! we get a few more thieves, rapists and murderers and we will be close to hitting the big time!!! Morris puttin in work!

No, but when it comes to football Petrino is closer to genius than most.
Morris will likely have to play the recruiting game like programs actually trying to win the SEC, but I doubt the powers that be will let him do that... too fricking content with the participation trophy.
I could be wrong, but by God I'm missing Razorback baseball. Until proven otherwise DVH is the only Elite coach we have.

Too bad they can't play, Morris might have a shot.

8-5 after the bowl.

thought we proved otherwise by losing the world series to a routine foul ball.
but seriously. Morris isn't asking them to do rocket science. he's asking for a couple reads then go. It's a practice thing we'll get better at the more they do it.

As good of a coach as he was/is, Bobby Petrino went 5-7 here in his first year. How does the talent level of this team compare to the one Petrino inherited? Which coach will have had the easier schedule in that first year?
I'm generally optimistic. I can see 7 potential wins and would be ecstatic if Morris pulled that off. But then I think of Petrino's first year and think we'll be lucky to win 5.

The team Petrino inherited at least wasn't soft. Last year's team mirrored the demeanor of the fat fricking loser they were playing for.
Morris will have to overcome that more than he will talent issues.

Arkansas led the country with 20 freshmen major contributors Petrinos first year.
Chad is inheriting a situation more similar to what Nutt walked into that what Ford, Crowe, Petrino, or Bert walked into.
Petrinos schedule his first year wasn't as easy as chad's and he was a blown call in the OM game and/or a blown FG against ms state from bowl eligibility.

Thanks for the reminders from that year, although I could have done without being reminded of the blown call against Nutt and Ole Miss... that one still stings. I had totally forgotten about all the freshmen Petrino had to play.
The comparison to what Nutt walked into makes sense.

Colton Jackson out for about six games. That's awesome because we could totally afford a pre season injury at a position where we have quality depth like OT.

Guess we'll find out a lot about Dalton Wagner real quick.

Well crap. If we lose anyone else off the line then my joke about pulling people from the stands to play might have a ring of truth to it.

Will Richardson be back for week 3? That's when the first actual bit of competition will show itself. And that blows about jackson. The absolute no.1 position we could not afford an injury and it's a serious one at that it sounds like.
