Seems like if they wouldn’t have officially offered if he wasn’t willing to accept. Tell me I’m wrong….

May have been leaked by his agent for leverage.

Yep. I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually offered a couple weeks ago when Hornsby entered the portal and he turned them down so Hornsby came back.
May just be wishful thinking though.

I thought I read a footballscoop article that said he turned them down and they were hiring Toledo's HC

You did, i read the same thing

Reports are he is staying at Toledo and turned Miami down.

Kendal is in Georgia recruiting today as well.
Doesn't seem he's to interested.

I hope Miami’s receivers can throw

I know things are "fluid" as is often said, But I was told definitively that Briles had agreed on a deal and was staying put. That the family loves it here and his next move will be to a HC postion.

But do we have memorandum of understanding?

Why? If Briles goes, Malik would follow.

Would be a dumb move, he will get a head coaching gig next year. If he goes he would have to build for 2 more years.
He is actually liked by every commentator and others, that aren’t our fan base. The only reason he hasn’t been hired for the main job yet is his last name.

This is what the guy on 247 that allegedly knows him directly is saying as well. Very odd for this to be put out there though, if so.

If he goes, well he goes. It would suck to have to replace him.
Personally, were I in his shoes, well... actually if I was in his shoes I'd probably in some pain. I have fairly large feet, regardless... were I in his shoes I'd stay at Arkansas for one more year at least.
He has the pieces to the puzzle pretty well put together here. That sets the table for his offense to put up some monster numbers next year which should bring the HC offers in droves.
If Briles goes to Miami he's going to have to remake their offense. Yes, you can't walk out the door without tripping over a 4 star athlete down there, but you would also be tripping over the two dozen coaches recruiting that player. It could take a couple of years to get things going down there and Miami has not exactly shown tremendous patience with their coaching staffs of late.
My concern, if I was him, is that Miami, in fact, has been the graveyard of coaches in recent years. Fan support is nonexistent but expectations are sky high. Manny Diaz had an overall winning record and went 16-9 there in conference play... but he was shite canned after going 7-5 last year so they could hire someone else. Those folks are about as loyal as a pet scorpion.
I could be wrong, and I often am, but I think going to Miami could blow up in his face.

Being reported by multiple places that Miami offered Jason Candle $1.6-$1.8 Million to be OC and he turned it down.
I don't know what the fuk Hunter is doing, but it seems like (or the board) deaf their feet tremendously on these new contract deals.
Briles is through to be pretty safe right now z but countering with $1.3 million simply isn't going to cut it and hopefully this makes Arkansas finally realize what is the cost of top coordinators in the SEC.
Give him $1.75-$2M and call it a day...
