Go back and watch the post game handshake after the Missouri State game last year. I believe they will get along just fine.

Until there’s results I’ll assume both are fleecing us.

Nutt screwed up by not developing any QBs during his tenure.

Shitty QB play by Robert Johnson, Casey Dick and Mitch Mustain doomed that season.

I will never forget the awful passing game against LSU that year.

My first thought is this is a desperation move. Then after thinking about how bad this season was and hoe hopeless next season is, we are desperate.

Wut.

A&M's offense improved by 80ish spots overall this year, playing their 2nd and 3rd string QBs against the SEC west. All three of their QBs were adequate in their first season as starter or when their predecessor went down with injury, which is a testament to BP's ability to coach them up and scheme for them.

A&M's offense didn't light the world on fire or set records or anything, but it was very much improved over the previous year. And there's still some opinions from that fanbase that the offense was hamstrung by Fisher meddling

Go back and watch the Missouri State vs. Arkansas game when BP came to Fayetteville last, and see what he's able to accomplish through scheme alone against SEC competition with lesser talent

He's past his prime.
I agree.

HOWEVER, he did improve A&M’s offense from 101st in 2022 to 53rd in 2023 (while forced to play 3 different QBs in 2023)

ALSO, what top tier OC is going to come here for just a year until Pittman is let go?

I remember hearing stories when Petrino was the coach here that he would have his assistants with him looking at game film for hours.

Anything from feet placement from opposing players.

A real football nerd.

You do realize they were down to their 3rd string sophomore QB for the last 3 games, right? And that 3rd string QB, coached by CBMFP, threw for almost 300 yards against LSU?

Wait folks expected Bobby to install a new offense last 3 games of the year.

That was Aggy’s problem having high rated QBs that didn’t pan out and jimbo stuck with them. They had all the pieces except for a stud qb.

We had some weak OL play under Bobby at times. Our QBs took some big hits. Oddly enough, we still moved the damn football and put points on the board.

Bobby, will be a massive upgrade at OC. Pittman couldn't get any luckier.

They actually complement each other well. Sam can be the recruiter and good ole boy that the boosters like. CBP sucks at that, but can be the brains of the organization and fill gaps Sam has.

This hire gives the program the spark it desperately needed heading into the offseason. Whether it pans out or not, it was a smart move at this time.

A&M always take responsibility for all their own self inflicted woes, and don’t just throw money into a fire pit and pretend the have fixed the situation. I can’t believe they would look on his time negatively.
