His fastball was hitting 97 today. Postseason Gaeckle is a real thing apparently.

In other news, RPI up 4 spots to 21 after the win. Probably the least important metric of the 3 used, but it was also the one we were ranked lowest in. Committee is going to have a tough choice now. Still don't think we get the nod simply because they always try to minimize the amount of SEC hosting spots when possible.

I think the $$$ will be too much for the NCAA to ignore. If we are a 2 seed, whoever is hosting us will be absolutely pissed by the draw.

I've been firmly in the "we're not hosting unless we make a splash in Hoover" camp, but yesterday’s W over Texas likely sealed it.

1 of only 4 teams in the country with 17 quad 1 wins.

19 SEC wins, including over Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia, State (x2), Bama (x3), and Ole Miss (x2).

We've certainly got a better resume than Ole Miss, who people were proclaiming as a host before losing to Mizzou and playing their way out of hosting.

RPI is such a joke of a metric. We beat the #3 team in terms of RPI on a neutral site and didn't move at all from the 21 spot. The sooner they phase it out the better. We're now 18-12 against quad 1 teams.

Here are some schools ahead of us in the RPI and their quad 1 records:

Wake Forest (5-15)
Oregon State (2-3)
A&M (10-13)
State (9-14)
USC (1-11)
Florida State (7-11)

That list is a joke.

If Arkansas doesn't host a regional then college baseball has turned to shite.

you know, it truly is incredible what Arkansas Razorback Baseball is... the absolute model of consistency.

DBH deserves the Championship... hope he gets it prior to retiring. Dude has an incredible coaching tree as well.

How many of us, had us in the tourney finals with our pitching? DUDE!

Dave called me last night after the game last night and asked me to head down. I’m starting on the bump today.

DVH has done a great job with this years team.

It was looking bleak about half way thru the season, but DVH got the kids to keep grinding and now we are about to play in SEC championship game.

The big holes on offense and pitching from early on have slowly started shrinking. We look like we can do some damage in the post season.

Pitching has really stepped up, and the bats(overall) have done the same.

DSR is supposed to be the metric of choice in baseball and softball now.

The bats carried our asses. Pitching I'm still not sold on outside of Dietz.

This game is a good example of why we absolutely cannot lose a game in the regional. If we have to play 4 games we're beyond cooked.

Can't take much away from that game.

Georgia can hit the ball. If you throw hanging breaking pitches your are going to get destroyed.

Offense just needs to work on their approach with RISP. We cannot continue to strike out in those scenarios. Choke up on the bat, grind, do whatever it takes to put the ball in play. Not sit there and pout because the pitcher made a good pitch.
