Yeah it’s always gonna be tough for Arkansas to pull kids from places like Michigan. Oh well, hopefully Georgia beats them by 30

His younger brother was the first 2025 offer by the staff too, Lance Jackson at PG.

LSU DB coach Corey Raymond to Florida on Napier's staff as AHC/CB coach.

Huge loss for LSU and should help with Welch.

Cory Raymond leaving LSU for Florida definitely helps with a potential Welch flip.

Can’t believe they’re retaining Brad Davis, but letting Raymond go.

Beat me by a minute. Ha.

247 poster claims it's a done deal. He's from Texarkana and was a huge recruit out of HS. 2 more of those guys and perhaps keep Ridgeway and that's one of the most talented (on paper) DLines Arkansas has had in recent memory.

Brad Davis

Well, they can't really fire him becaue he's been named the interim HC for the bowl game. Word out of LSU is that Kelly really likes him, too, for his coaching and recruiting.

All I know is, it looks like Pitt and Co. are cleaning up from the OU and LSU coaching change fallout. How often do two bordering state programs with that much talent fire their coaches at the same time? Arkansas' success this year couldn't have come at a better time.

Welch probably stays with LSU. Nothing is confirmed until that LOI is done.

the prevailing thought was Raymond leaving, he coming here.

this might have sealed it for us.

He still has an LSU visit this weekend, so who knows what can happen. If he cancels it, that would obviously be huge for Arkansas.

Damn.. That's a blow. Gonna have to get some big bodies in the portal again.

Apparently Arkansas offered this dude today from Albany.

Looks like everyone else wants him, too.

quote:

University of Albany defensive end Jared Verse, 6-4, 245, was offered by Arkansas on Friday and announced it on Twitter.

Jared Verse entered the transfer portal on Nov. 30 with three years of eligibility remaining.

Verse was one of three players at his school who made all-conference. Verse finished the season with 52 tackles, 31 solo, 11.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one pass breakup, 13 quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.

Since entering the transfer portal, Verse has gained offers from Missouri, Tennessee, Syracuse, Florida State, Iowa, Connecticut, Nebraska, West Virginia, Bowling Green, Houston, Utah, San Diego State, Purdue, Kent State, Colorado, James Madison, Utah State, Buffalo, Kansas and Western Kentucky. He took an official visit to Syracuse last weekend.

Verse is from Berwick (Pa.) Central Columbia High School. He was a 3-sport athlete (football, basketball and track) at Columbia Central. As a senior tight end, caught 15 passes for 385 yards. Also had 14 tackles and three forced fumbles defensively. Won a state championship as part of the 4×400 relay team. Also competed in the 100, 200 and 4×100. Three-time All-PHAC athlete.

There's also something going on behind the scenes with Rowser, but, according to West it isn't because he doesn't want to go to Arkansas. He claims he does and has no interest in going to Michigan.

I also listened to clip from Wiltfong yesterday about Michigan down the stretch and he never once mentioned Rowser.

There is speculation that he's either having academic issues or perhaps the family is trying to influence, but no one really knows (that they will say publicly).

Sucks for the kid if its another Alex Collins situation and sucks for Arkansas if he isnt going to qualify academically. We'll see. There has been no-home visit by the staff apparently.

What happened to Alex Collins was crazy. Thank God he actually came. He was a solid running back.

Kody Walker was a solid running back. Alex Collins was an all time great Hog.

Second all time in career rushing yards and 100 yard games in program history (both behind McFadden), and 1 of only 3 players in SEC history to start his career with 3 straight 1000 yard seasons (along with McFadden and Herschel Walker).
