All I know is he is really good at recruiting Offensive Lineman, I have no idea if he will make a good HC.

Very pleased. I think this has a better chance of working out than most realize. It all comes down to the staff he assembles.

The players will fight for him and they haven't the past few years.

He's a foundation type hire to make it attractive for the next guy whenever the time comes.

It’s out of left field but I’m warming up to it. If he can delegate like O and Herm Edwards and surround himself with a top level staff then it just might work. I’m excited to see how the next few weeks shake out which I can tell you is not how I felt a month ago.

I’m also excited to have a competent OL again. Pretty much every issue we’ve had on offense over the last four years can be traced back to our shite OL and OL recruiting.

This is exactly why he is at least going to make us competitive...Having a good oline will do wonders for the offense and actually helps the defense.

A good Offensive line can control an entire game and we have the best one in the country.

Now, who he gets for his staff is what's going to make or break him as a HC. I imagine if kids will run through a wall for him, there are coaches out there that will as well.

All I know is, every single former player has praised the guy to the mountaintops about his coaching and recruiting abilities and his connection with people.

I also know that it seems like Georgia fans are not too pleased he's leaving... That's more than our last 2 hires have been.

Happy with Pittman.

Just want our AD to have freedom to do his job but honestly I don't know if there was any BS frickery from outside (boosters and BOT).

But frick it - I'm a Razorback and I really like Pittman so ... GO HOGS!

Not impressed here, trying not to be a stick in the mud for those that are so happy. Hope he does well, but I'll likely be doing something else next fall.

I can live with it. It might work out, it might not, but at least it will be a different sort of misery than what Chad put us through.

No. Maybe he will work out. I hope he does. But I consider resorting to hiring a position coach that no one else wanted a failure as an AD. Yurachek gets paid around a million per year and made a hire that Jack Blassingame could have pulled off.

To add: it isn't really anything personal against Pittman (other than maybe he left Arkansas for the same position at UGA - wonder how he's going to convince his own staff members to stay when he wouldn't?). I mainly just don't think he's qualified for the job.

I'm disappointed with the hire but will see how it goes, and yes I'll support him until a 2 win season happens.

What could really excite me would be a DC I could get behind, I think that is what we need in the worst way right now.

When I first heard it was a done deal yesterday I was neither pissed nor ecstatic. What I've heard of Pittman he is a great recruiter, one of the best OL coaches in the SEC, and his players love him. With the shitshow he is walking in to he may be our best option for stabilizing the situation from day 1. If he can somehow put together a solid staff ( see Coach O)and let them do their jobs then he can turn the program around in 2-3 years.

I'm only hoping for improvement from week to week and the players putting forth maximum effort whether they're playing Bama of San Jose St.

I never stopped pulling for the Hogs under Bert or Chad and won't under Big Sam.

A good start would be to not show up drunk to recruiting visits or not showing at all since that's allegedly what Bert did that drove him to leave.

As for Pittman, I'm underwhelmed but willing to give it a shot.

I never saw that clip either. Man, Bielema is a petty dude. Also, I think he's dead wrong in what he says. "I helped his career quite a bit." what a doucher.

I never saw that clip. Was never much of a fan of Bert's, but attitudes like that shows why he failed here.

I believe it will be interesting to see how this team progresses over the next couple of years. It may be a bumpy road at first but I honestly believe we are going to see a lot of improvement.

The man is a natural born leader. That is obvious.
