Well unless our OL miraculously gets better I don't see it. Add that in with our clusterfrick of a defense and you are looking at another 6-8 win season.

offense should be better, defense is a question mark. The schedule sets up perfect so it really depends on the defense. I could see anywhere from 6 to 9 wins.

all the new players we were breaking in this year will have a year of 7-5 experience under their belt

based on that alone our win total should go up regardless on if we make coaching changes or not. the oline should especially be better with kurt anderson given a full season and offseason to work with the oline. the defense has nowhere to go but up lol. segrest needs to go though. fix the no pressure by our dline and our defense improves tremendously

Don't we lose most of our top contributing wide outs?

Yes, we lose 3 of the top 4. Hatcher and Morgan have been clutch, no doubt. I just think the next crop of kids coming up are better talents. Jared Corenlius with Jordan Jones, Deon Stewart, LaMichael Pettway, Kolian Jackson and splitting TJ Hammonds out occasionally gives us a lot of athleticism. Not to mention if we were somehow able to land Brandon Martin this week. They would just need reps but I think we'll be in good shape.

He'll probably announce he'll be going to LSU on Thursday..

I think we'll be alright, still not where most of us want to be but better than this year. We lose most of our WR production but we have more than capable talent waiting in the wings, so I'm not really worried there. Our D should improve at least marginally enough to not see any blowouts like this year, but I still think CBB has something up his sleeve in that department and is waiting out the bowl game(s).

It's really the improvement on the O-line where our season hinges, IMHO.

Who fricking knows because the defense was suppose to be the strong point this year while the offense struggled. It was pretty much the opposite for most games.

With a good DC, the defense should be better than last year because I'm not sure how it could get worse. We lose some players though so it might not be much better. The only thing that should be worse on the offensive side of the ball is the WR group. I guess the Oline could get worse but that would be surprising again.

McTelvin Agim should be fun to watch, I think he's going to improve a lot next season. We have speed and talent in our other wide outs. I think we'll be fine throwing the football. Our o line is young, so they can do nothing but improve.....hopefully. I'm honestly glad to see Dan Skipper gone, he got worked in pass rush constantly. So many penalties. I really don't know how he was all SEC. Defense should be solid. We lose some good secondary players and d lineman, but we have talent to replace in both of those areas. I think our next middle linebacker is faster than Brooks Ellis, so that's nice. Probably like an 8 or 9 win season. So if you mean "suck" as in mediocre, then more than likely. I'm not holding my breath with the Hogs. Talent is there to win 10 games or more, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Bama, A&M, Auburn, LSU.

I count an automatic 4 losses.

I feel like I'm ready for the next year already.

We will be better. Agim will grow hopefully not slow down too much. Scoota and Greenlaw with hackett in the other side should be decent. Defensive backs should be ok again.

Offensive line needs to get better and can with practice and some fundamental teaching.

Not sure I understand your rationale for this
quote:

offense should be better

Or this:
quote:

The schedule sets up perfect

Allen, Williams and Whaley were all three good and should be better. However, we lose most of our receiving corps and are replacing them with guys who, while talented recruits, have little to no game experience outside of the obvious holdover in Cornelius. We also lose Sprinkle, so we'll be replacing half of our 1-2 punch at TE. Also, our offensive line was absolute trash, and we now have question marks at virtually every spot but Center.

In terms of the schedule, the odd years are always our Achilles' heel as we play Bama, LSU, (and to a lesser extent) Ole Miss on the road. A&M and Auburn (and to a lesser extent Mizzou) own us, and Mississippi State is getting better.

Once again, our fate will rest on the play of our lines. If our offensive line can't get a push or protect Allen and our defensive line - where we lost pretty much everyone outside of Agim - can't manufacture a rush, it's going to be a long season.

The fact that the SEC had its worst showing by far in over a decade this year and we still limped to only 7 wins doesn't fill me with confidence in this coaching staff or roster.

Well we're only losing 1 guy from the offensive line. Ideally all of the guys who were sub part this year will improve over tge off season, or a freshman can step in for playing time (the way Kirkland and skipper did). On the defensive line agim is going to be good and I think Capps and guidry could really solidify the inside of our dline so teams can't gash us like they did this year. Also, as someone else stated our line backing corps will finally have speed throughout, which is something we haven't had in a long time. Normally, we have a linebacker somewhere who can be picked on in coverage and I really don't see that next year. The dbacks should be better as the only noticeable less will be Collins and we've got decent talent there I believe as well. Yes, we lose a lot out of our receiving corps, but we have talent there, abs a proven guy coming back, plus a good quarterback, which is the key. Having the guy who can get the ball to the receivers is harder to find than the receivers

Worried about the O-Line but I do expect Froholdt to be a force. He looked like he was getting much more comfortable the last half of the season. If only we can keep Ragnow.

Agim should be dominant but needs a coach to help him out. Segrest is not the answer.
