We could be dangerous with Brazile and Fall

I don’t know man. I want to think Brazile would have solved all of our problems this year but when you see the finals teams just bullying the competition it makes me worried about the front court you mentioned.

If you’re thin you’ve gotta be a certifiable freak from an athletic standpoint at this level. I’m seeing more and more good teams with multiple thick dudes who are smart versatile basketball players. Who’s our Justin Smith and Trey Wade next year?

Rebound percentage/rate is what should be looked at.

RPG is influenced by too many factors.

If a team plays slow, fewer rebounding chances are available, so they look like a bad rebounding team, but if they get a large percentage of those available rebounds, they are actually a good rebounding team.

Idk why people underestimate Fall, he's the #16 OVR and a McDonald's All American at 6'10" 205 before getting to campus.

Adam FinkelsteinDIRECTOR OF SCOUTING

Fall is a physically gifted big man with size, length, athleticism, and mobility. He runs the floor extremely well, can slide his feet laterally, and is a bouncy leaper. His best potential lies on the defensive end of the floor, where he is already a high-level rim protector who can block shots on and off the ball. He also moves exceptionally well laterally for his size, allowing him rare versatility as a pick-and-roll defender, who can even be switchable in certain situations. Offensively, he’s a bouncy finisher around the rim and also has soft touch inside the paint, and maybe even some long-term floor-spacing potential.

quote:

However, his overall approach can lack efficiency on that end. He rarely gets deep position or even makes himself as much of a lob-threat as he should be, and instead has a tendency to settle for a variety of fade-aways and other “tough twos.” Fall had an extremely high turnover rate through Adidas play with almost five turnovers per game and also tends to be an inconsistent defensive rebounder for his size. His biggest liability at the moment is a lack of strength. He’s very lean, in both his upper and lower body, and can getsdisplaced easily on both ends of the floor and even bounce off of more physically developed big men.

Sounds like he's gonna fit in. Around here in our current offense ...

UConn is 7th in that.

Alabama benefits from style of play if assume at 61st

Good info.

Announcers do it all the time, where they’ll state that a team leads the SEC in 3pt makes per game, but like most stats, that can be very misleading.

Looks like Baye is 6'11" at the McDonald's AA game.

Didn't list weight.

Baye has to be our most exciting big since Jaylin and he's significantly higher rated than Jaylin.

Can't wait for next year with a high end rim protector and defender down low. Especially after not having it this year.

The UCONN game reminded me of when Larry Johnson told Nolan Richardson that he needed to recruit him some men.

Had that exact thought myself.

I’d like to pair him with BJ Mack from Wofford and bring back Brazile.

That's a good point. Thing is that Brazile is a certifiable freak and those other teams don't have anyone like him. I would still like to see us get a thick guy, too, but it needs to be someone bigger than Smith and Wade. I don't remember who mentioned Graham Ike yesterday, but I watched more video of him and he would be great in that role.

That makes sense, but I didn't even know it was a stat.

We were in the top 20% in block rate and fg% against along with top 25% d rebounding rate.

Rim protection wasn’t the issue.

Hopefully Fall makes us even better though.

I didn't mean as a team, we know we had long guys this year. We still got destroyed down low most games against good teams.

Anthony Black 5.1rpg
Makhi Mitchell 5.3rpg

Our center rebounded as well as our point guard this year.

Grahams problem is he's soft as baby shite and defends about as well as i do at times.(I'm not good at basketball)

To me out issue was empty possessions and lack of any kind of shooting threat. We were too timid attacking the rim as well this year.

One averaged 36mpg

The other, just over half that.

Right, usually bad players don't play a whole lot like good players.

Nobody is saying Makhi was as good overall as Black but that means Makhi has like twice as many rebounds per minute as AB (as he should)
