What will our season record be if Simpson started?

What will our record be if Jalen continues to start?

We don’t beat UGA with Simpson. We also probably beat UT. So 5-2.

We had so many WR’s running free in that first half during Georgia I’d be surprised if we don’t beat them

Doesn't matter what the record is the end of this abomination season. All that matters now is the record NEXT season, and it will be undeniably better if Simpson starts getting experience NOW

Lets hope DeBoer has the coconuts to figure this out, but honestly I doubt it.

Tough to know about Simpson, but with a decent quarterback we beat Georgia by a wider margin. If they can read the read option, as most non-Milroe quarterbacks can, there were huge plays waiting there throughout the second half. Most quarterbacks could have hit the wide open throws in that first half. Ryan Williams would be less famous with routine catches instead of getting underthrown and having to make circus grabs.

I'm also wondering why you concede the Vanderbilt loss as though that has nothing to do with Milroe. Take away the early pick six and that game feels very different. A quarterback who can see very obvious presnap blitzes also gets the ball out hot on the backbreaking Milroe fumble. Look, this team's problems and last year's team's problems are almost all Milroe. Even the snapping issues implicate him - McLaughlin looks pretty good with Will Howard, yet Bama continues to have a few untimely snaps a different center.

Simply impossible to know. I think we all hope that he’d be awesome, but nobody really knows. I’ve read (mostly here) that he is pretty careless with the ball at times. Maybe with more experience he’d grow out of that. He does have good wheels, but he isn’t built like a tank like Milroe, so who no real clue how the Qb run game would be. I wanted him to get reps last season, but I worry how changing to him midseason would play out. After the offensive crap show against USF this season, I can say that judging him strictly on a weak performance in Tampa last year was pretty unfair.

Milroe’s had seven turnovers to six touchdowns the past three weeks

Simpson could be Brett fricking Farve and it would be an improvement

Yes a hall of famer would be an improvement over Milroe. I think the question is how good is Simpson at fraud and dick pics.

Simpson should get experience ASAP. He is the future. I for one believe it will be an improvement, for next year if he gets in this year.

He won't beat out Mack next year, he is the future, we should have kept Holstein.

Milroe has run for a total of 57 yards since UGA. And he refuses to run with huge open lanes in front of him now. The QB run is nonexistent now with Milroe so what are we losing with Ty?

I thought I saw lanes to run and he refused to take them as well. Then was to nervous wouldn't set his feet and just missed wide open throws.

Simpson isn't quite as fast as Milroe but he's clearly shiftier than Milroe by a good bit. He can and does juke guys.

It’s funny in all the meltdown of the last 18 hours you are the first person at least that I have seen mention the guy who IMO is going to lead us to championships.

Possible but idk if Simpson makes the plays to blow UGA out in the first quarter. The defense lost the Vandy game. I can’t blame it solely on Milroe. The pick 6 was a freak play, and the fumble was because the line had a bust.

He looked bad vs South Fla last year. How much has he improved?

The whole team has looked bad against South Florida for two straight years. Maybe it’s a little unfair to judge Simpson on that one game.
