Washington QB Austin Mack in the portal

Austin Mack QB, high 4 star recruit, redshirt freshman. 6'6" 210. Was supposed to be the Washington QB of the future. Wouldn't be bad to have a guy deboer already knows in the QB competition, especially one with this guy's skills, measurables, and so much eligibility left

QB Room isn't the problem on this team.

I would think we are set at QB.
ETA: Not saying we don't take him. I'm all for competition at the highest level. I just don't know if you take him over other areas?

Agreed, but may be a tough pull. He's from Texas, and has a cousin he's close to who plays DB for Sark. He did seem to like DeBoer, though.

Is Alabama going to bring in portal guys to put players who have been in the program all along on the bench? I mean, where's the loyalty?
Bond goes to Texas and he's Benedict Arnold. Some transfer from UW comes in and takes playing time away from someone who's been with the program and it's, "Sorry, Joe Bama, the bench is over there."
Y'all expect loyalty from players you would trade in in a heartbeat if it meant winning another game.

I don't give a shite who comes and goes. I just like watching college football. And I don't blame anyone for taking an opportunity that's better for himself.

We have four. After the spring, maybe three. Personally, I would wait to see what’s available after spring ball but surely these coaches are more in the know than I am and this kid might be a take regardless
