The Vandy one fits in that category as well. Clearly a better team, just was not prepared in both.

If Miami wins* we’re locked out entirely. We need to be in the 11 spot as the Big 12 takes the 12 spot
We would be in the 12 spot with no way in unless SMU dropped which is doubtful

Don't think we are getting in....we had our chances

Will be interesting to watch the playoff rankings on Tuesday. Our path is pretty straightforward: need to be ranked 11 ahead of Miami, and then probably need SMU to beat Clemson in the ACC title game.
So hay is in the barn now, and we got a chance. Hopefully playoff committee respects strength of schedule and quality wins because we are clearly above Miami in those categories.

Is Arizona State a legitimate playoff team?
I know they beat a hapless Mississippi State team in September.

No, but they get in because of the fifth conference champion AQ

Odds that SEC wins again?

I think this is correct. Those two things.

Committee is going to avoid the controversy and put Miami in. BCS rankings absolutely would've had us in the top 12, but comm. appears to only consider SOS and other factors when they run out of 1-loss and now 2-loss teams. I think we're out on the same precedent that got us a bid in 2017

Miami had there chance with a weak schedule and lost to the two best teams they played.
SC had their chance but lost to Alabama and Ole Miss.
You guys literally don't make sense and have to be trolls or actual cucks.

The big problem with the CFP now is the top 5 conference auto-bids when there are only 4 real power conferences. That was invented to give the appearance that a lesser conference can get a seat at the table rather than guaranteeing it with the death of the Pac-12. That is going to frick Alabama's chances. Ultimately, showing up unprepared in two games against 6-6 opponents on the road is the reason why Alabama is going to be playing a Citrus Bowl with a bunch of backups.

You keep saying this shite like it means something
They’ll have to ponder whether to move us back above Miami or not, like before.
You seem to think getting blown out by Oklahoma and losing a close one to a 9-3 team won’t factor into this new decision.
I think there’s a good chance it does.
I agree with the rest of your post.

Yes. Big 12 bid is a huge problem- matchup for the B12CG is #16 vs. #18.

Yeah well that's your personal truth and your reality. That isn't THE reality.
The actual reality is the committee has ranked us ahead of Miami with 2 losses when they had 1.
The actual reality is we have 3 wins over top 25 while Miami has none.
The actual reality is we (and Ole Miss) have beaten SC head to head to they literally can't jump the both of us unless our QBs got hurt. Last I checked Dart and Milroe are okay
You guys can try to spin it how you like but the big victory for us as Boz stated was when the committee showed they valued us by ranking us 13th and using us as a wall against Ole Miss and SC. That was our opening. The teams we needed to lose have lost.

Also, Boise State getting propped up on the strength of losing close to Oregon and playing tomato cans the rest of the season.

I stole that from another poster who made a brilliant observation about these types of Alabama fans who seeming demand we be perfect and when we aren't want us punished for it while others clearly aren't as well

Alabama lost by three touchdowns to a 6-6 team one week ago.
I understand being optimistic but this team doesn’t deserve a spot with three losses, two of those three coming to 6-6 teams.
Turning the ball over four times and only winning by 14 against a 5-7 team isn’t enough to prove that we deserve to be in.
