And if we make it through Vandy’s option attack then we get an outside zone and bootleg pass heavy Mizzou team that I suspect we will not handle very well.

The tandem Mizz has in the backfield is looking formidable, and their QB is no slouch. We’ve got a tumultuous road until the next bye week.

My reason for saying that is their defense is not what it was last year and not st the level of UGA. Scoring should come easier. Their scheme will give us fits. Trust me i know. Our team has had this game circled on the calendar. Trust me.

Their defense isn’t great maybe average. Obviously offensive they can do alot. Defense needs to give us a chance. Don’t have to stop them every time just every now and again. I think our offense will be fine.

I wonder how aggressive the defense is gonna try and be getting penetration to disrupt them as opposed to reading and reacting and playing gap sound

Vandy Offense reminds of the TAMU offenses with Manzel. Bama D needs a few stops and the Bama O has to score TD's and not kick FG's. Get Vandy down a couple of scores, or more, and watch the pressure of having to score to keep up affect Vandy's Offense.

Hard to say how they'll approach this. But it seems like there are a few things that need to happen.

First, spy Pavia. Just can't let him get easy chunk plays running. If he gets 2-3 yards per run fine, just make sure he takes a shot every time.

Second, sell out for the run and just let the DB's go 1 on 1 with the WR. I believe our DBs are better than their receivers. Will they get a few plays off us? definitely, but hopefully not enough of them.

Last, keep an even, gap sound rush and keep Pavia from creating plays outside of the pocket. If we take an L from him carving us up with his arm, so be it. It's a lot better than letting them run wild on us.

Right now I’d say that only South Carolina seems like an SEC opponent that won’t run for 200 or more on our defense. But that’s a road game and their QB could just scramble all over us.

We definitely need to win the time of possession again and keep Pavia on the sideline

One thing I noticed we were doing against UGA is though we passed a lot, we weren't snapping the ball until the play clock got five seconds. We were eating up time by manipulating the play clock. We need to do that against Vandy to keep their offense on the sidelines and wear down their defense.

The defense had no clue how to defend Vandy last year or FSU this year. I have no faith Bama can keep Vandy under 30 points. Bama has to produce turnovers because they'll get TDs 80% of the time otherwise.

I'm sure we're not going to be overlooking them. The thing is, Wommack is apparently powerless to stop anyone who is halfway decent at running the type of offense Vandy runs, and Vandy runs it very well. Ideally, we get off to a quick start and kind of remind everyone who's who in this matchup.

They’ll be ready for Vandy. Next week at Missouri is another story.

Coach Bryant used to say if it’s 3rd/4th and one, if you can’t pretty consistently get that you probably deserve to lose.

I’m just not convinced this offense can consistently do that. Who knows though, maybe we’ll get consistent?

I'm legitimately more nervous for this game than I was before Georgia. Their defense might be just average, but their offense is legit. If this game turns into a shootout, we're going to lose. And so far there's no evidence this defense is capable of stopping an offense like that.

Some of you owe me an apology

That’s the problem. They are prepared Vandy may just be better. They didn’t take Vandy lightly this year.
