They appear to be firing on all cylinders this year. They've looked really really good in every game so far. If we make it to play them (and I do mean if), I don't know if boob can handle that defense.

Yeah, they look great.

There's also a lot of football to be played between now and December 3, 2022.

We weren’t sure we could do much against their defense last year either, but we did just fine until Metchie and Williams went down. I do agree though that they play angry and violent all the time like some of the Alabama teams of the past we are used to seeing.

So did LSU in 2011. So did LSU in 19 and we barely lost despite having only half a QB. So did Georgia last year where we went 1-1 against them.

Goergia is a good team, but so is Bama.

I think what's more impressive than anything is the fact they haven't given up a touchdown so far this season.

Seen enough "beat everyone by 40" Alabama teams not finish the deal or have some weaknesses exposed to not hand the trophy over yet.

But yea, it's a very good looking football team.

I do wonder if we will be chasing them for a while now.

Don't think that'd be the worst thing in the world to be honest

Happy for them to receive the rat poison all season and for Alabama to be doubted.

IMHO Smart is hungrier than Saban and it bleeds into his team. As someone said they other day, Saban is older and not as quick to make changes sometimes as he needs to be. Thats why Saban gave both our coordinators another year, even though they both sucked last year. Until our Coordinators are gone, we are going to be in a funk.

Idk what to make of it. Georgia is really good at suffocating and dominating weak opponents. Their defense CRUSHES weak offenses in a way that ours doesn't.

That being said, even though they look better, we're right there with them, and we'll prove it just like last year.
We just have to hope that it goes differently in the game that matters.

They don't play to the level of the competition the way that Alabama does, they play to their own set of expectations. That's one of Saban's key philosophies, but Bama hasn't lived up to it in 2021 and 2022.

Thanks for saying what everyone was thinking...

OP you might wanna relax a little... This team is going to be fine...Saban even told you and the rest of your overdramatic buddies, when he ripped into that ever present group for entitled fans..

LET ME REITERATE:
Teams are ALWAYS going to kick it up SEVERAL notches when they play Bama... Some have even admitted it..You beat Bama/Saban, CONTEXTUALLY, it's like being Jordan, Ali, Tiger Woods. Teams study film like crazy amd if you have good athletes, coaches, and if you studied/learned DIRECTLY from Saban then 20-19 can happen at times.
Also IMO it shouldn't even matter all that much to us fans. No matter how you slice it, win by 1 against each of our opponents and Bama will be where we all want to be at the end of the season. The way some of you talk, you'd think that Bama had back to back 4-8 season's and this season we've started off 1-3.

I remember, all to well, the years prior to Saban. Bama was well on our way to becoming a laughing stock. Our teams play hard and, at times, looked VERY GOOD. For the most part we were simply ok, and other times we looked weak and very beatable .. Remember "fear the thumb"? I VIVIDLY remember it? For the last 15 years Bama has been so dominant, that that the times in which we do lose, fans will storm the fields... Coaches get contract extensions and our fanbase immediately go into panic mode

Saban was spot on when he said that when he first came to Alabama we were just happy to win a game... 6 national championships, c don't even know the SEC championship #'s, 3 Heisman trophies, an ungodly of NFL players drafted, countless #1 rankings, MILLIONS poured into our University. We lose players and coaches like it's going out of style. Throttled UGA in the SEC championship and were probably 2 key players away from winning it all last year..

Relax Francis. The coaches are working hard and so are the players. The talent it there and it sometimes takes while to gel... I'm beyond thrilled to know that out guys won't give up and will fight to th end. Most teams won't. Ours will...

Curse of being good beyond anybody's wildest expectations.
