With all these tough forwards being mentioned I would like to add Eddie Phillips; he was a monster. Bobby Lee Hurt another.

What would this team look like with a Antonio McDyess, Chuck Davis or Erwin Dudley? Can you imagine an Ennis Whatley at point?
Kira played his arse off tonight. Petty is not only an essential scorer, he is our second best defender and rebounder. We can't win without a healthy Kira, Petty, Herb and Shack. This team is too thin.
I have not given up on Reese but he was pitiful tonight. He couldn't guard his shadow. He is playing hurt so I will cut him some slack. He will have surgery after the season on his hip.

He needs to go ahead and have surgery. Taking it up the butt can’t be helpful to his hip

Our guys really played hard last night(except Reese) I think we 100% win that game with Petty. His shot was falling early. But we can’t get 1 fricking break to fall our way, Meanwhile our in state rival gets every fricking bounce/break to fall theirs.

He may be injured IDK but he doesn’t look injured when he is jacking up 3s on the offensive end. If you could combine Galin and Reese it would be a heck of a player bc at least Galin plays hard (not very well) and bangs some down low but Reese is the softest 6’9”player I have ever seen. Teams see that and just attack him . At least contest a few shots . Sad

Engstrom

Oh boy. I guess at least he gave effort.
That same effort that's probably keeping him competitive in some Swedish church league basketball games.

For somebody that start to play late, Engstrom improved as a player. He left NCAA too early.

Do our coaches see that? They seem more concerned with making 3's. We better hope we dont play A&M in the SEC tournament, because they are a hard nosed physical team. We might see another repeat of what happened last week. They are really getting after people.

Any speculation as to how long Petty is out?

Time to chalk this season up as a loss. Our bubble hopes were busted last night. Might as well go ahead and get the surgery and start rehabbing.

Both wore #3 too. When I was ranting about How awful Reese was she said “That guy has been there for 7 or 8 years and hasn’t gotten any better”

Is she blonde?

My heart broke when petty got hurt... I knew that meant good ole Beetle Bolden would get more minutes and he failed to disappoint. I've never seen a guy think he has a green light more than him and just be terrible.

I know SEC officials are terrible but they were especially awful last night on both sides... the two plays that stick out is the one that resulted in Herb's 4th foul when it seemed to be an easy charge call that was called a block and then the AWFUL charge called on reese. I know it gets discussed all the time but I'm so sick of watching terrible officiating.
