A little OT but a campus landmark is set to implode Monday. That place brings back some good memories :) Gosh how UA is changing.

I know those memories quite well. Followed by some very uncomfortable testing at a doctor's office.

Might be a good idea to wear a quarantine mask in the area for the following few weeks. Lord knows what’s been fermenting in that building the past 60 years

It was called "Slutwiler" way back in the 70s when I was at Bama.

Last time I engaged a conversation like this, it was with my ex gf's neighbor. He was a fellow bama alum, and the year behind me. His wife got a little put off by the slutwiler comment he made, so I just dumped gas on the fire by mentioning our history department building

I didn't live in Tut when I was in school there in the mid 80's, but my daughter lived there the year before last in her freshman year.

I thought it was a dump when I was in school, it was even worse when my daughter stayed there. There is mold all over the place, the elevators still never work, the carpet in common areas on each floor I think are NASTY!!

My daughter laughed about it being call Slutwiler. It is still call that.

End of an era. Crazy how much that place has changed since I got there in 2000. Paty on the other hand will probably outlive us all

Paty, I had a friend that lived there. They used to have bicycle races in the hallway. You had to be careful exiting rooms. That place was nuts :)

I know EXACTLY who you are referring to

Man the diner after dark was crazy back in the day because everyone was looking for food after drinking all night. You would see some things that’s for sure

That lady was so fricking nice too! There were some characters at those cafes.

Across campus (I forgot the name of the bldg./cafe. I’m getting old), there used to be a Mexican lady who cleaned all the tables… she kept telling us every day “no baby. In boom boom.” She was a big advocate of butt sex. So weird

Happy 4th!
