Man the diner after dark was crazy back in the day because everyone was looking for food after drinking all night. You would see some things that’s for sure

End of an era. Crazy how much that place has changed since I got there in 2000. Paty on the other hand will probably outlive us all

The sash always did it for me. Regret never being able to snag the home and alternate. This new one? Sheesh no thank you

Solid start. I wasn’t overly excited about them but knew it would probably be worth it. I’m glad the focus is on the period after the fall of the Republic. Great opportunity to bring in certain folks and connect some dots

Sheesh, immediate flash backs to sitting in the loby of Paty Hall as a freshman and thinking here we go!! Crazy how hard we crashed that season
re: Bama fans: where was your excitement level after 1999, 2002, and 2005?

I was a freshman in 2000. I vividly recall sitting in the common area in the dorm and watching Freddie run that punt back. You would have thought we won the title right then and there. Clearly it didn’t work out that way.
02 was a fun season, but man when Fran bailed folks thought it was the end of everything. Not to mention his video conference telling the players was such a crap move. We bounced back and 05 was another fun season.
Heck they were all fun and exciting being a student there but clearly it was a rocky time. Then we got Saban and the rest is history. Having lived the first half of the 2000’s, I appreciate and love every team Saban has put together. It won’t last forever but it’s a hell of a ride.

Totally worth the time investment. I caught on to it halfway through after I bought the first season on a whim. You won’t be disappointed. McGowan’s portrayal of Vane really hooked me in.

We need to crack down on both the cost side and the content side for public universities. The debt wouldn’t be an issue if if were still being issued at a percentage wise basis consistent with two generations ago.
Beyond that, as much as I loved my time at Alabama, I could learn as much online for free using coursera from a practical career application standpoint as I did in the classroom in Tuscaloosa.
This isn’t a shot at Bama either, I would say the same thing about my grad experience. The value at both spots was social experiences, networking and expanded worldview.
Kids aren’t getting a value, we are wrecking an entire segment of the economy from the sense of delaying home purchases and having kids while they pay off debt and employers aren’t getting candidates who are prepared for their entry level positions.
Time for us to rethink things.
Sums up my time at UA perfectly. I finished in 06 and while I learned a lot, I could have done so in the work force. My biggest gripe has been the lack of education on loans and helping helping school students truly understand the consequences.

Really enjoyed this. The opening scene was great nostalgia and Charlie was a much better character than what we got from Shia in the first go. This is absolutely how the others should have been

Losing Rambo hurts in so many ways. Sure we could buy a “better” guy as a replacement but that’s money we could have used elsewhere to fix other issues. At least we are trending the right direction
re: How did people get so deranged? Last night was funny but now Im just at a loss

It’s not going to change either. The ability to disagree and be civil about it is gone. I had a discussion the other day and attempted to be as level headed as possible to see their side and BAM!! I became the enemy and 60 percent of all non democratics are owned by Russia. It’s crazy and I don’t see it getting better

I think he will do well for himself in league and can see him as the top RB off the board, but top 5 wow, that’s crazy!

You can’t go wrong with the books. I can never put them down and I was highly disappointed when they decided to skip Lost Symbol in the film world. The movies are good and I like Hanks in the roll, but absolutely give the books a go. You won’t be disappointed
re: Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa: 'We'll be back'

Yeah way too much to put the loss on one aspect. Tua can and will improve. Even as he iis I take him over just about any QB we have had.

Haha, yeah I don’t think it was the right move for Michigan but what can you do.

Sizeable pay bump as well. From 525K to 900K I believe for Gattis

We have someone step up every year, but I definitely think the defense is setting up more for 2020

Ok.Ill bite. What’s dumb about planning ahead? You can disagree with that and that’s cool but what did I really say that was so stupid? We had a great season but at 68 I can’t imagine Saban sticking around too much longer so I asked a question. It was easier to call me a troll and ignore it so whatever. I was just looking to talk Alabama football. I wasn’t saying Saban sucks and we need to move on, just that we need to think about the future. We aren’t exactly keeping coaches under Saban on a regular basis.
That wasn’t a convo anyone wanted so I’m cool with that and moved on. Clearly rubbed you the wrong way though.

Our special teams has been above average as a group under Saban's tenure, but a short string of years with some kicking inconsistency bottomed out with a year of abject failure.
Punting took a big step back with the new kid, but we found a passable workaround with the other guy. I don't believe that to be a trend.
Fair enough. I might be too focused on the kicking woes aspect and the expectation that it could be much better. However all valid points on the other elements of ST.
