That's awesome for Traeshon, but honestly, there are a number of other players whose NIL deals I would have expected to hear about first.

I’ll be honest, the jealousy factor is one of the things I most worry about. I have so many worries with this, mostly because it is unknown and I like things to stay the same

(Not really worry, but am concerned about). Before some frick comes along saying something

I like CFB for all the ways it's not like the NFL.

It just keeps getting more like the NFL.

I also wonder how Bama wile fare in this. We cannot compete with the Texas, Texas A&Ms of the world if this ends up being a booster/recruiting thing.

We have rich boosters and alums...but not that rich.

FR Agiey Hall has two deals.

LINK

Hall shared the news via Instagram on his two partnerships for name, image, and likeness. He has partnered with Playmaker and College Football Edits.

They should have just capped HC salaries at $1 million, lowered ticket prices and allocated a percentage of any tv revenues to a trust for players to be paid out post-graduation or the end of their eligibility.

In the end if not competing for a title and not producing top NFL draft picks it will not matter how much money a program has behind it.

Maybe this will not have a negative effect on college football, but it's hard to see how it wouldn't.

Too many here are being short sighted. In ten years, college football will be a shadow of what it use to be. I see many loud mouthed cry babies in the future.

CFB already changed in the last 2 decades with social media. Especially in recruiting. Getting paid will be nothing now and in the end you still have to perform once you get on the field to get paid.

Every kid Saban recruits he believes has the potential to be an impact. Once they hit the practice field they get the opportunity to prove it. Those that do not may transfer but I doubt it will be any different wherever they go. Just like with pro players those with the biggest endorsements produce on the field.

How do you figure?

Bc half the team is making $12 to play nerds in Madden?

Coaches will still be tasked with fielding a team that wants to win.

I see big personalities with little to work towards in terms of being selfless and humble with the team, not to mention the new relationship between the coaches and players. It will probably be similar to what coach had to deal with in the NFL just on a smaller scale.

So they will be like everyone else in the world; loud mouthed cry babies.

In the end if you want to make money you have to be really good or have a great image. So the kids will still have to go get it.

The only issue is transfers and we will probably replace kids leaving early with proven talent coming in to be big on the field and off the field "earners".

I am old but I believe when you bring in money to some and not all then the roster will fracture MORE than when you just had star players and the rest.

The coaching staff have been added a giant headache to go along with winning big.

Hopefully Nick can keep the players from doing stupid things that bring the NCAA looking. We'll see.

i'll just prop my feet up and wait a couple years for the, all athletes should be paid a living wage crowd, to fire up their megaphone and really gut the collegiate sports world. after all, there will be winners and losers in the NIL game.

will this filter down to the stud HS kids eventually. And why wouldnt they deserve a piece of the pie? I fear we have opened Pandora's box. I follow some on Twitter and some others I follow have retweeted the players desire for people to PM them to discuss how to get paid.

This is my worry. This won't be like the NFL where everyone is getting paid at least $610,000 a year (the league minimum). There will be players on the roster earning a small fortune on endorsements while there will be others who earn absolutely nothing. What will that do to team chemistry? There is no way of knowing at this point because we are currently in uncharted waters.

These guys better be careful with what they post as "content". That caption says "NCAA approved ad", but that doesn't make it so. They may be able to use their own NIL, but they have absolutely zero right to use the university name, log, or uniform. That CFBE website and page looks pretty fly-by-night.

NIL Tracker: Compensation deals announced by Alabama athletes (BOL)

As I just posted...see this quote from this article on BOL:

"Use of any registered marks, logos, verbiage or designs owned and protected by The University of Alabama is not permitted unless receiving prior written permission."

Oh boy. Schools with the richest alumni base win. Gonna be the wild west.

These little deals being cut now are ok. But no school has more fortune 100 ceo's than A&M.Wait till they start throwing these 50k NIL deals at the aggie roster.

I can see Jimbo now, going down the roster with recruits, underlining NIL payments in red.

And what about Kirby? If you don't think Kirby is going to make sure he has a well paid roster, you just need to get real.

It will be a wink and a nod type thing and there will be no quid pro quo apparent. BUT THRE IN NO WAY it wont be happening.

So what prevents this?

The schools that get this organized and make sure their boys get paid are going to be winning future recruiting wars. The schools that take the high ground are going to get the shaft.
