i read the article at the bottom of this page about mster p's son signing a 2 million dollar deal that his dad had ready to go for him as soon as the ncaa gave the green light. hes a bball player at tennessee tech or some small school. it's gonna get crazy!

I get stars like Tua, Najee, etc making some change while in college, as they are bringing in millions to their schools, but I’m seeing scrubs—like 3rd string guys trying to get endorsements. How bout you do something on the field before you start begging for sponsors on Twitter? Just seems cheesy.

Completely outrageous.

I also see pressure ramping up at the end of the season as players start to make names for themselves.
Used to be, coaches had to worry about players thinking ahead to the draft, now you can add another distraction to the list.
It is what it is and we wouldn’t be here if the ncaa hadn’t been so restrictive over the years. If anyone can overcome it, it would be CNS.

Who cares? If these companies want to throw their money away, let them.
The resistance to the NIL stuff I’m seeing from our fan base and others is mind boggling. What happened to the free market and capitalism? Why are these things suddenly bad because they’re forcing changes on something you like?

These little deals being cut now are ok. But no school has more fortune 100 ceo's than A&M.Wait till they start throwing these 50k NIL deals at the aggie roster.
I can see Jimbo now, going down the roster with recruits, underlining NIL payments in red.
And what about Kirby? If you don't think Kirby is going to make sure he has a well paid roster, you just need to get real.
Who cares as you just mentioned 2 coaches who always recruit well but very seldom produce the results their recruiting classes should. In the end you sill have to be able to coach, develop, and when games.
National brands are not going to endorse players on programs that are not relevant or players with off the field issues. Something UGA is loaded with and aTm who gets the JFF types do not do well as a spokesman for a national brand.
Example if I am Nike looking to endorse a top CFB projected to be top 5 draft material. Who do you endorse? A Jimbo Fisher top recruit like a Jameis Winston who off the field had issues or a Nick Saban player like Tua?

I am hoping for some of the lunch pail type of kids to finally get something for their efforts. Players like Fowler, Smelley, etc. who leave everything out there. Hopefully some local businesses can reward them.

Corruption could be one reason. Not to mentions that it's like laying down an arsenal of high powered weapons to a couple of average gunslingers. The potential for damage is far greater than it was before.

So what all of those risks are there with a free market and stuff like what you have said is what far left have said to scare people for an eternity to turn them against Capitalism.
In the end the cream will rise to the top. If you are scared Alabama isn't the cream and will drown, I don't know what to tell you.
I just know Saban has a brand, Saban doesn't want to lose and he will do what it takes. Always has. Trust him.

This might be best thing to happen. All these handlers lying in wait to promise a kid a few bucks now have to compete with legit organizations who can actually get a kid paid. It might also finally expose more of the dirty players in the game as well as they will have to up their game to compete with real entities, which may get more caught for not doing it the right way. Who knows this finally may help the NCAA under cover more in the end of the corruption in some programs.

Saban will run this like he does the program. Recruits are going to see legit businesses endorsing players and not just the few at the top but in the end every player on the two deep at UA could be getting endorsed.
Everyone outside of the UA fan base should be worried now. The NCCA has officially turned the last aspect of CFB as we know it into a full fledged business with all cards on the table. If anything this has created even playing field for the programs that are running it on the up and up all these years. No longer having to deal with shady handlers certain programs benefit from or players going where the biggest bag of cash comes from.
No one in the world of CFB is going to be more successful than Saban running every aspect now as a business.
Saban the Goat will now become the CEO of CFB.

Not against capitalism, that I can tell you for sure. I just see the need for more stringent guideline. I'm a little scared that college football could eventually turn into a mirror of the nfl. I hate the NFL...period

Blame the NCAA then. Instead of them adapting, they were stubborn and greedy.
Now it's a free for all, but it will settle and the players play will determine their value. The market always determines how things go in the end.

Stfu.
What are you guys so scared of? Will this hurt this small schools like UAB? Yeah. We are Bama though. This can do nothing but help us.

I am waiting for a school to sign a deal with someone like Nike or Under Armor to endorse the entire team. That will be the biggest impact for recruiting that i could really imagine.

Oh I do. They got absolutely ridiculous in their pursuit for "violations", but the pendulum is now going in the other direction.

How many of you are going to run out and buy Milos tea cuz someone at Bama is being paid to post stuff on social media. I wont. Maybe I am at a certain age that no one celebrity convinces me to buy a product because of an endorsement. I sure havent gone out and bought a Benz cuz NS owns a dealership in Bham.
