Saw an article where Chris Low alluded to Saban keeping the OC search hush hush because he’s probably already been working on BOBs replacement since he knew this was coming.
He mentioned Dan Mullen probably isn’t leaving broadcasting, but Lebby is someone Saban most likely is making a run at, and that the Barn certainly already tried to get Lebby in staff.
Also mentioned Slade Nagle, Collin Klein, Kevin Johns, Greg Roman, and others.
Saw Jeff Scott mentioned in another article.

If Saban asked Mullen, then I am very disappointed in Saban

Serious question which players have said this?

Saban is indeed keeping things "hush hush." So to get clicks, the media resorts to "fake news" about potential candidates.

I’d rather read click bait where the media dishes “fake news” about potential candidates than no news at all.

Seems like a fruitless endeavor but I am not the boss of your time.

No different than coming here reading rumors.

Has anyone in here mentioned Jason Garrett?
A coworker of mine says thats the latest rumor on Tider Insider.
I do not support this idea, just asking if anyone else has heard it.

TDA is pushing for Andrew Zow to get consideration.

From page 2 of this thread
quote:
Off the top of my head, NFL guys that are currently available AND have some kind of tie to Saban...
Jason Garrett
Scott Linehan
Mike Mularkey
Pat Shurmer
Adam Gase - HELL NO
Freddie Kitchens
No ties to Saban, but ties to The University...
Bruce Arians - PIPE DREAM
No ties at all… Belichick Assistants (BOB/Daboll route)
Matt Patricia
I'm probably missing a few.

He is not even a position coach at Clempson. Too many others out there including peeps on staff who have more college experience then Zow. Hell why not just hire Watts.

The only NFL guys I’ve seen listed that I would be optimistic about would be Brian Johnson and Joe Brady, but that’s it. The rest of those NFL guys suck arse.

I think Greg Roman has some promise.
1) he’s great at scheming up effective run games.
2) he is not great in the passing game in pros but I think it is easier to scheme receivers open in college.
His simplicity in the pass game may not be a huge issue in the college game. On the other hand, anyone who can consistently manufacture dominant run games in the pros will clearly dominate in the college game if the OLC is worth a damn.

I see Roman more likely to be like the Sark and Kiff hire where everyone hates it but he actually turns into a solid hire.
Let’s all remember how Sark kinda underachieved with the Falcons. Nobody wanted him here. Everyone cried about but then he led two of the best offenses ever.
