Could be wrong, but I don't think you risk upsetting UW by flying across the across just to practice interviewing and wasting everyone's time. It's pretty much all speculation at the moment but I highly doubt he just interviewed for fun or had an actual offer and turned it down. IMO, his name leaked and didn't like that and when Saban said he's still interviewing others he saved face and returned to UW. We'll see what we find out.

Maybe. CNS and Grubb are the only ones that know the truth. I just find it odd that we have been discussing names for the new OC since 5 minutes after the UT game. And this is the ONLY interview that gets picked up by the media? Supposedly, CNS has interviewed others, but we don't have any specifics as to who else he has interviewed other than Grubb?

I could be wrong, but Texas A&M wanted him and he is now the coach that Alabama really wanted. Not a bad resume to have when one starts interviewing for HC positions in 2024.

Certainly a possibility. Look coaching searches always intrigue me like everyone else but other than Goulding he has hit a home run every time.

Maybe with Grubb's recent 2 raises, his asking price salary was more than Saban wanted to spend.

From what it sounded like, Grubb has a great position he is very happy with. There was a lot of reasons not to rock his world with such a big change.

Hello, I am Boz’s insider.

Y’all are too damn needy. Boz can’t even go to Italy.

They really do. All the BS arguing about stuff makes it almost unbearable.

Love where this is headed.

Multiple posters claiming the thread is hard to read, so how are they improving things? By adding complaints about other posts that we all have to scroll past.

Almost unbearable you say? Right…almost, but not quite so unbearable you can’t read the entire thing and then make it worse by adding to it.

What a joke.

Y’all need to understand people just want some info and a place to vent until they get it.

And at least half of the other 10 percent whining about the 90 percent that are whining does what? Do you honestly believe pointing out the whining will change a single thing?

Have you ever kept up with an in game thread? It’s 97 percent Golding and BOB complaint posts and 3 percent BOOM!!!!! or BRYCE!!!!!! posts.

I mean, what kind of posts do you expect to see on here? Zero activity until someone has something about a hire from a solid source?

This should be pretty obvious, but if you find it that hard to read then just don’t read it. Check ESPN however often you want and enjoy your easy reading until news breaks about a hire.

You guys kill me.

Anyways…who is going to be the new OC? It’s funny we (myself included) are in a sort of panic mode and I bet all 5’6” of old man Saban is sleeping like a baby. Playing some sort of 4D chess like he always does.

Saban: “want to work for me?”
Grubbs: “no.”
Saban: “Thanks. That was all part of my plan.”
