Keenan really showed out at times and getting him back at DL is absolutely massive. Him and Smith should be a great duo in the middle.
Highly unlikely we would’ve gotten someone of his caliber out of the portal and he already knows the system.
Getting him, Overton and Jefferson back is far bigger than anyone we lost to the portal IMO. Those would’ve been arguably our three biggest needs on defense and instead we can focus on other spots.

People are worried about the defensive front but we are getting everyone of significance back except Tim Smith plus adding the dude from Florida. I think spring will tell us if we need to add any depth pieces from the portal there.

Great news! He does a lot of dirty work in the middle and is great against the run. Guy has put in a ton of work to reshape himself since HS to be the player he is now.
I know there's a lot of talk about the importance/unimportance of recruiting instate, but it's still awesome to see a local kid express his love and gratitude for his team he grew up rooting for. Guys like that can be anchors to a team.

I think we need another DT but what James Smith showed in the bowl suggests that we may be able to do with a rotation 3 tech type rather than starter caliber.

Was pretty impressed with the freshman Beaman in the bowl game. I expect he will be in the rotation next year. He’s a big dude with impressive athleticism.
