Maybe just maybe Bradley wasn't as good as advertised out of high school.

I think his style of play and being involved with the death situation are more to blame. Bradley is as good as advertised, he just needs a more traditional system to be at his best, IMO.

I think Jarin Stevenson's heart is with Alabama but North Carolina is HOME! I think him choosing not to play for his state is why he's struggling.

Maybe some family and friends wants him to stay and play for UNC!

Further confirmation that we are playing Ohio State to open the Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville on Black Friday.

I thought Bradley would've been a great fit but he had a hard time hitting perimeter shots and then late in the season it just seemed like he was scared to take them, even wide open. When the playbook came out on him he just never really adjusted and unfortunately that was around the same time the incident occurred. I'm pulling for him big time next season.

[Oats] basically said win at all cost

In the summer of 2012, the biggest scandal in half a century was splintering the University of North Carolina. A series of phantom courses — supposedly lecture classes, but they never met in person — had been used for years by athletes trying to stay eligible to play. At a university that had long bragged about winning “the right way,” the revelation was evidence of an irresistible hypocrisy.

For 18 years, thousands of students took fake "paper classes," and advisers funneled athletes into the program to keep them eligible.

During the Dean Smith years, 1961 to 1997, the report says there were 54 basketball players enrolled in paper classes.

To me, he looked scared shooting them. It was like he'd have a split second moment of panic, then try it if he was still open after he refused consciousness. It looked very out of rhythm.

.

I think this was huge in him. He was there. He never looked the same afterwards. That's gotta have an effect of a young kid, or really anyone.

So assuming everyone is right and we do land Stevenson, I assume we might keep the the last spot open like last year for a potential Sherrell mid semester reclass.

What’s everyone’s feeling on the starting lineup?
Q
Estrada
Griffen
Stevenson
Nelson
Or maybe start Pringle at the 5 and Nelson at the 4 and let Stevenson come off the bench.

We will likely keep it held open for such a scenario, but I doubt Sherrell is the one who would take it unless Stevenson ends up being a bust.

I don't think so. I think they fill the spot because we have history with folks getting hurt and last thing we need is having no one to fill in.

Aiden Sherrell has talked about a December reclassify since he was not able to this summer. If we get Stevenson, we very well may hold a spot for Sherrell for December. If we don't get Stevenson, then we are scrambling to find a good big.

I rather just keep the spot open for a potential reclass instead of using it just to get another body at the end of the bench. Maybe Oats has another target or two but there hasn't been any noise outside of Stevenson.

I think that lineup might take a little while to gel but this years team is going to be really good again if we do for sure get Nelson and Stevenson. Then you have 2 veterans in Sears and Wrightsell that can score to go along with 3 freshman that will all bring something. And I forgot about Davin Cosby, who has been there already a year getting better and bigger. Excited about this team.
