Bruce also has a well documented history of being a liar.

It did look pretty bad though. Might not be out for 4-6 weeks but I bet he misses at least a game or two.

I mean, they had to carry him off the court and he wasn’t putting any weight on it. I wouldn’t feel good if that was one of our stars going out like that.

Pearl said it was a significant sprain.
Oh wow Bruce Pearl said something? Must be absolutely truthful then.

Probably being overly cynical but something tells me he would have limped off on his own power if he wasn’t getting worked by Pringle and Murray-Boyles.

I will say this, whether that fat slob is truthful or not, that Broome's ankle touched the floor when it rolled. I think it's a bad sprain

Looked like just a bad roll to me. Had one similar and took about two weeks before I could really do much on it

Sometimes a sprain can be worse than a break

I’m no medical expert but can’t you come back quicker with a sprain? Seems like with a break you have surgery or not but you are not coming back until after x number of days. With a sprain you may could wrap it after rest. Therapy and rest to get you back.

strangely no. I've had broken ankles and was able to play 6 days later. I've also had sprains where I couldn't run for 5 months.

I've literally been on crutches for my ankles more than 20 times. I've had my right ankle rebuilt, and need it on my left. I am well acquainted with ankle injuries.

edit: let me rephrase. It just kind of depends on what's hurt and where. Which bone is broken, which tendons and ligaments are injured, are they torn or just stretched.. etc.

You have never heard that? You can screw your ankle up so bad with a sprain that it’s never the same. Doesn’t mean the barner has that bad of an injury, though.

Probably the worst injury I've ever had was a sprain. And I just rolled it walking down some janky steps. I tried to work the next day and my leg swelled all the way to my thigh. I left work to go get xrays. They were negative, but it was months before I could walk without a limp, and probably a year before it felt close to 100%.

I hurt mine exactly like he did....Mine popped when i rolled off my brothers foot you could hear it.

Of course I didnt have access to the care Broome does.,but I was six months getting to 100%. I could walk a long time before I could run, and a very long time before I could jump.

Tua hurt his and could play with the tightrope surgery. But a basketball player asks a lot more of his than a QB would.

Yes, my brother did this. I still remember the swelling and the coloration, and that fool runs funny to this day. He rolled it by stepping in a small hole for a water line.

Watched some highlights of the game this morning and Holloway’s floater has been so lethal. When we signed him I didn’t think he’d have that ability in the paint. Pair that with really solid catch and shoot 3s and he’s blown my expectations away.

He has been fantastic the past 8-10 games. The thing that I have been impressed with the most is he makes big shots when we need them. Whether it be a 3, floater or countless times he has somehow snuck in a rim drive right when we have to have it. We have so many guys right now that put so much pressure on opposing defenses, making Sears a focal point of opposing strategies backfires

May have missed this in the game thread but is Mallette hurt? In the blue collar video on instagram he was in street clothes while everyone else still had jerseys on and got 0 min

Seeking to go back to the redshirt plan for him

Not just that. We now defend better and have tremendous depth in the front court. Thankfully, Cliff looks to be okay after turning his ankle. I was expecting the worst. He came back and made a huge difference. Stevenson, Nelson and Dioubate are tough.

Yes, especially when we play fast.

But we have to figure out something different in the halfcourt when we want to get a shot before the buzzer. Not sure what goes through Sears' head but he just dribbles the ball into a terrible shot for somebody. Not what we should see from a guy with his experience and ability. Put some damn pressure on the defense instead of just dribbling the ball. Throw it into the paint for Cliff or somebody and make the defense collapse, or just anything else other than what we have been seeing at the end of the half.
