Maybe I'm thinking too much about only last night where JQ had a number of shots that were just a tad long.
At any rate, he still hasn't struck me as being as erratic as, say, JD and Gary, who both, frankly, have a long way to go shooting from the arc.
Don't get me started on FTs. That any player who can shoot as well as JQ or Shack can't work on a repeatable FT form then relax, concentrate, use their legs and replicate that form to make at very least 75% is beyond me.

Our awful defense kinda enables teams to have that type performance

Looks like we’re well on the way to 1-6 in SEC play. It’s tough to watch. Can’t imagine Byrne putting up with it much longer.

Mercifully it’s over

I'd like to see Byrne make a move there this offseason.
ETA: nothing against Curry, just feels like it's time for a new voice.

Look, other schools have made some damn good hires. We can’t afford to miss this. We need to fire her and and an extremely good hire

RollTide.com:
From Head Coach Kristy Curry
"Just on a night like tonight you have to credit Arkansas. As far their balance across scoring, you know, they hit 15 3-pointers and I thought we had hands up at times. It was just one of those nights where I thought you just credit them, pick yourself up and you hit the reset button at midnight. We've just got to get ready for Auburn."
Kristy Curry is in her ninth season as the head coach of the Crimson Tide, holding a 143-126 record in her time at The Capstone.

Curry gotta go. Now. Bring Madonna home. She couldn’t do any worse than Curry.
I think y’all are putting too much stock into the label that Bama lives and dies by the 3. No doubt our 3 pt shooting has been putrid but we’ve been in every game. Why? Our defense and hustle are keeping us close.
But ironically it’s our defense that is failing us at critical junctures. We keep having these stretches of minutes in games where we go from good defense to just disappearing on that end of the court. And it’s usually compounded by doing something completely stupid like Gurley fouling the LSU shooter behind the arc. How many times have we just gone to sleep for 3-4 minutes on defense and given up big runs, while going ice cold on the other end? And that’s where missing the open 3’s really glares. That is my biggest gripe with Oats.
When the other team is erasing a double digit lead and we can’t even hit the backboard, call a time out and run a play designed to get an easy basket. Just to break their momentum. The other night, after the LSU kid lnocks down his 2nd or 3rd straight 3, stop the clock and tell the team to deny him the ball. Then set up something that’s an easy 2 just to break the ice.
This team is too young and lacks an alpha for it to come from the players, it has to come from the bench. Oats has to refocus them and stop these killing runs.

Gary has made strides but he's not a shooter yet like previously stated. Gary needs to work on his base and release.
JD has come a long way shooting wise and still has a ways too go but his mechanics look good and even his free throw shot looks good.
JD and Gary both will continue to get better but they both still have a ways too go.
If the other players start making shots on the perimeter while JD is in the game then his offense will FLOURISH because he's a pass first point guard and the lanes will not be clogged.
