If we can win all the games leading up to Baylor I really like our chances in that game. 15-6 with wins over two of the top 5 would be pretty strong regardless of bad losses.

Oats on hey coach tonight had a lot of quotes about us having a good practice, JQ shooting really well, etc. I guess we will see Wednesday.

I’m starting to think JD starts over JQ this week, which I’m fine with. Was already thinking we may see a lineup change, Oats made some comments hinting at it tonight about how if you didn’t want to play hard then you could sit on the bench with them, and then on top of that JD tweeted something last night that looked like it could be a hint towards him starting. We’ll see tho. Maybe JD needs to start to get him going, and JQ was better off the bench last year anyways.

I hope so. If only because what we'd been doing wasn't working anymore, and there is nothing to lose by trying something different.

Some girl for Deshler HS just set a national high school record with 18 made three-pointers in a game. I don’t think we’ve made that many combined since mid December.

It's not that he can't shoot. It's that he can't shoot right now. His shot looks bad mechanically. If he was Ray Allen in practice he'd definitely be playing more with how badly we have struggled from outside lately.

Yeah, Holt's 1/9 isn't concerning. His form and complete lack of comfortability when taking a shot is what I don't trust. He could work himself out of it, but we're not at a point where we have the luxury to give him more run. He's a complete liability on the offensive end right now. I'm sure it's just nerves but we're not at a point where we can work through them.

I really hope we don't continue to schedule like we have in the non-conference. We need more gimme games where we can get some of our younger guys some run and give our entire team some confidence.

No offense, but I chuckled at this part of your post because I thought back to all the bitching about the football schedule having too many cream puffs.

And not an NBA talent in my estimation.
The kid's too slow, and too left handed for any kind of NBA career.

Holt's 3s look like a shortstop throwing a guy out at first. I've never seen less arc on a 3 at this level.

Yep. With his size. He needs more quickness.

Some level of ambidextrousness is necessary to play in the NBA, especially in the backcourt. He's saying Shack isn't comfortable enough driving to his right or finishing with his right hand to be an effective scorer in the NBA. He is correct in the sense that being able to finish at either side of the rim with either hand is very important for an NBA player, but being left hand dominant is like #6 on the list of reasons Shack doesn't have a future in the NBA.
