They were tough and physical, but were Beard’s teams “thugs”? I really liked that Texas Tech team that made the Final Four. Whatever it was, it worked. Took Texas Tech to the final game and had Texas in the top 5 when he was fired. If he could recruit and win in Lubbock, Oxford should be easy.

I was just saying what I understood the other poster meant by "thug-ball" I wouldn't have chosen it myself as it has too many other connotations.
I do think Beards' good teams were very similar to Barnes' in that they turned games against teams with better offensive firepower into absolute slugfests where you had to make every pass and finish everything through lots of contact and be able to win start-stop games at the line.
Really, I don't even have a problem with coaching your team to take advantage of it. It really should be up to the NCAA to get refs to focus on making the calls.

Anyway, I had not heard Oat's statement about BM getting fouled without the ball. Good for Oats! Sometimes embarrassing folks by talking about things gets something done.

Beard still hit his wife, and now because charges weren't filed people couldnt care less and he is free to be hired.

My February involved the flu, going to Disney with my family, and testing positive for the Rona literally the day after we got back. Disney was probably the worst of it.
In all seriousness, my son fricking loved it and had a ton of fun so it was worth it just for that but I came precariously close to shouting at multiple...lets call them pods of people in fricking scooters who block every goddamn walkway in the entire place.

Jalen Carter fled the scene of a fatal crash he was directly involved in, where his teammate fricking died, had to be called back to the scene after UGA immediately dispatched a school employee to deal with law enforcement, lied to the cops about what happened multiple times despite knowing his teammate was fricking dead, and people are like "let's just let it play out."
Dan Wolken's response to that shite got immediately called out by some Alabama fans on Twitter and the piece of shite had a meltdown over it.

Wasn't Dan Wolken one of the media dipshits who called for the demise of Bama in 2015 after we lost to Ole Miss ? I also remember him predicting us to lose to Vanderbilt in 2017. We won that game 59-0. The pure and obvious bias by people like him is ridiculous. No one should take them seriously.
