Clowney feels like one of those guys who could probably go late lotto to end of the first round just off his measurables and how hard he plays on tape. He's very raw though.

Clowney reminds me a lot of LSU's Tyrus Thomas. I don't think Clowney is a high lotto pick but I think his NBA career would be very similar. He gets drafted due to the athleticism but doesn't have enough development to contribute well as a starter on an NBA team.

He needs something to develop on the offensive game besides finishing an assist at the rim or putback.

Kinda like this. Embrace the villain role.

He’s played himself into a probable top 40 pick. I think you still gotta go into the offseason planning for him to be gone but if he comes back it would be great and he would have a good chance to be a lottery pick next year.

He had a great game yesterday.

After beating Texas A&M, I'd say Miss St has a stronger resume than Auburn. Arkansas too in actual quality wins but Arky has great performance metrics.

I think what's hurting Miss St in some people's brackets is the losing streak and sub-500 conference record but neither of those are things the committee puts much weight on.

I am so glad that we should have the SEC Championship wrapped up Wednesday night. TAMU losing yesterday was HUGE.

I think Clowney is kind of like Primo. Should probably come back for another year, but I think he’s going to measure very well and blow up at the combine.

You guys think Auburn misses the NCAA tourney? Looks like they may have to beat us or Tennessee to get in. I’d really hate to see them get left out.

Alabama will get their best shot on Wednesday after the shellacking they took yesterday and the rivalry angle. Hopefully Alabama is ready to go. I do believe that Arkansas is better right now but the rivalry angle with Auburn always makes me nervous.

Auburn really similar to Arkansas game on Saturday in terms of motivation. Perhaps even more dire for Auburn because they’re not solidly in the field like Arkansas.

We are better than them but they need this game to feel comfortable in getting into the field.

We got their best shot at their place earlier in the season when we played them in their superbowl.

Rewatching the game with the sound on (listen to Chris S live).

Two minutes into the second, BM had the one-handed throw down, crowd erupts, and the two announcers are dead silent. The next comment is about Nick Smith’s response basket. Not one comment from either of them about the BM dunk.

The post season is going to be interesting, with studio analysts, announcers and media all pulling against BM. Do they let their true feelings come out or do they simply remain silent on BM?

This team could be really special. The tragedy could galvanize and bring them together for the sole purpose of winning a championship.

If he keeps on playing at a high level he’s going to make them react.

Tifwiw. Some guy posted this over on rivals:

quote:

Just for information the place of the shooting was on Grace St. one block off campus. Miller like so many young black men had a dash board camera, much like a ring door bell. Millers story matched the video from his car and the surveillance video in the area. The area, known as the Strip is loaded with surveillance cameras.

Just for information, when Miller got to the bar. He waited for Davis and Miles to come out. When they came out, Johnson, the other shooter pulled up behind Miller’s car and blocked Miller. Johnson had a loaded pistol and loaded magazine in his car. Johnson had left the bar earlier and by all accounts was waiting for Miles and Davis to leave the bar. Johnson started yelling at Davis, who was drunk and dancing in n the street. One of the females in the Johnson car handed Johnson the gun and Davis went and got Miles gun from the back seat. There were twelve shots fired quickly, four were fired by Johnson and eight by Davis. Two of the shots hit Davis, two shots hit Millers windshield and one shot hit the deceased woman. There are three videos of the incident. Miller stayed and gave the Police statements and a copy of his video . Davis and Miles left the scene and so did Johnson.

My version and Miller’s version are backed up by three videos. The University and the Athletic Department were briefed within a day.

Under Alabama Law the firing of a weapon into a car resulting in the death of an occupant can be Capital Murder.

Self Defense must be plead to the jury as a defense, which is why Miles and Davis have been arrested. It is unclear whether the deceased or the other woman in the car handed Johnson his weapon. There was a significant amount of drugs found in Johnson’s vehicle weapons and loaded cartridges. Johnson and Harris were 60 miles from their residence at 1:45 a.m. and they left the bar about about fifteen minutes before the shooting and waited in a parked car. Johnson says they were waiting because they were eating. Of course when Miles and Davis left the bar, Johnson pulled behind Miller, with Johnson’s lights off.

Video supports Miller’s Account. ESPN has now backed off the story, based on the video.
