If the national media starts to say there's a conspiracy going on, they'll likely have to address it
They already did when they said there was no criminal action on his part. When it comes to conspiracy theorists, nothing else they said would matter. It would all be part of the conspiracy.
The things that would influence those on the fence like dash cam video, witness statements, etc are all evidence in the case. The DA has a capital murder x2 case to prosecute. None of that’s going to be released outside the courtroom. Remember, this didn’t leak. The courtroom is the only way the outside world found out other Alabama players had peripheral involvement. It’s unavoidably unfair to them because of the increased scrutiny but getting justice for the victim is far more important.
You think it’s bad now, wait until the trial. Miller will be a highly paid NBA star and unless the defendants reach a plea deal he’s going to be a major prosecution witness. Miles’ attorneys could well try to claim that Miles’ actions were not fundamentally different than Miller’s. He and the state will have to refute that claim. Since he wasn’t charged, I’m sure he can but it isn’t going to be fun and the sensationalists will have a field day.
Edited to add that did everyone catch that LE found Davis’ hoodie and “a gun” (in quotes because they didn’t specific it was Miles’ weapon, that will come out either way at trial) in Jaden Quinerly‘s room and that Quinerly was out of town that night?
Can’t pitch it out the window or in a random dumpster, instead let’s put it in Jaden’s room. They’ll never find it there. Not only is that an a-hole thing to do to Quinerly, it’s an amazing level of stupid.

That was quite a game but before we get into the game, I want to address yesterday's press conference and my response to the Brandon Miller question.
Too much on his mind right now.
Like the commentator said last night, the coach doesn't need to get involved with this too much.
The AD, President, etc needs to be the talking heads right now.
This is prime time basketball season.

Yep. Takes a few seconds to set a forrest fire and days to put one out.
The 9th Commandment warns against destroying a man’s reputation falsely. Those who have intemperately spoken about Brandon will face the repercussions.
The rest of us will also face them for the times that we have spoken intemperately and wrongly about people on this board or the Rant or otherwise. God have mercy on my transgressions and by the Spirit’s power kill that sin from within me.

The postgame crew after the Alabama game was bizarre. I woke up this morning and remembered it.
Neither of them were really saying anything but were making these saccharine statements about life and basketball or how the sport should make me happy but it doesn’t today.
It’s almost like their producers told them they can’t accuse Miller of committing a crime or even suggest it. But they wanted to SO HARD therefore they were just saying these vague syrupy statements to get around the gag order.

Brandon Miller's 41 points tonight were tied as the 7th most in Alabama school history.

My only other thought from tonight is Rylan Griffen shouldve played more
Looks like he only got 8 minutes.
Which is only 4 more than Gurley. BTW, did anyone notice him almost fouling their guy (with his body) on that final heave?

We don't need be reminded of the highest scored against us.

In the last 5 minutes/OT, how many times did Miller get hammered driving to the hole with no call? gheesh.
He may have to get used to some of that moving forward.
Why weren't we awarded the ball when they tried to throw it in with their foot on the line at the end of regulation? Oats was right.

I'm not a subscriber so I can't read the whole article, but did Scarbinsky of all people write something on this topic that actually made sense?

Scarbinsky: How does Alabama basketball’s Brandon Miller get his reputation back?
Jamea Jonae Harris is gone. It seems important to mention that today. In the early morning hours of January 15th, a 23-year-old woman from Birmingham with a 5-year-old son lost her life senselessly in Tuscaloosa. She was shot to death in the heat of a moment that never should have happened but does, at different times and places, with sickening frequency.
The aftermath of her killing should be a daily, sober search for justice for her memory and her family. For the most part, common sense and decency ruled until Tuesday when Twitter lawyers and judges tried to turn a preliminary hearing in the case into a Supreme Court ruling.
With precious few facts in evidence, they spit out snap judgments - colored in some cases by their favorite school colors - damaged reputations and diminished the search for truth. Before a case had been constructed, they built a gallows.
Then came Wednesday. One day after one text message was painted as a damning indictment of one of the best players in college basketball, that player’s attorney released a two-page statement full of detail and context in support of his client.
While that is the job of a defense attorney, and Jim Standridge’s statement was not delivered in court under oath, its direct assertion that “all of the events described above are clearly captured on video” added gravity and sparked a question.

Not really. Scarbarnsky's article didn't include any of the attorney's statement or a link to it. Btw, you posted Scarbarnsky's entire article.
ETA: My bad. Rest of the article posted below. Kudos to Scarbinski.

Wonder if Bama social media will continue not to post Miller in the future?
Posted on 2/23/23 at 8:57 am to Allthatfades
last night,Miller looked like a young Danny Manning in 1988, will Miller put this team on his back and take them to the finals?
