If I were Oats, it would be very hard to not blast these ESPN people for the criminal behavior toward Miller who's been shown to have done nothing legally wrong.

That would be the wrong thing to do.
Of course it should be an easy thing to say that Miller did nothing illegal in the terms of the law, but we all know it would have been best if he had just been asleep in his own bed that January night.
So, the University just needs to reside in that zone of showing respect and care for the young mother's family, yet go along with the letter of the law.
After all, no Alabama basketball player, including Miles, has actually shot someone. It was the other guy. And to me, he bears full responsibility for the tragedy that occurred.

Yep, ESPN's crew of dickheads disclosed very little of the statement of facts released by Miller's attorney -- because it fricking destroys the misleading narratives they're pushing.

Calm down, Nancy. I talk shite in every game. I’m emotionally invested so I’m going to emotionally react. I’m sure you say “Go team!” after every bad play, eh? You’re such a great fan. FOH.

Have you guys never watched a game in a bar? Way worse shite gets said. I’m not above being an a-hole during the game. I admit it.

Btw what I did is how you actually jinx an outcome. Amateurs around here trying to jinx a game but openly admitting it’s a jinx. Doesn’t work that way.

You’re welcome

The more dramatic they are now, the bigger the egg on their face will grow as the weeks pass and nothing happens to Miller. Literally, he did nothing illegal, and not one authority involved in the investigation has so much hinted at the slightest culpability of Miller. So Frick the ESPN asshats, let's see them keep trying to push this while Bama, the Police, and the SEC keep repeating that Miller isn't in trouble.

Brandon Miller scoring 41 and winning the game for us is just the perfect exclamation point for all this.

Good for him.

“The company line”? You mean the decision made by the school after going over all the details that have been corroborated by the police, Miller’s attorney, the available evidence, etc. These guys just want to ruin the guy because it makes for a bigger story.

It goes for everything every media outlet has always done.
We certainly are in an age of narrative pushing on steroids. So, none of this is unexpected.
Do yourself a giant favor and from now on only watch ESPN programming for live sporting events. Absolutely nothing else.

Two things need to happen immediately.
Brandon's lawyer needs to start naming names of those slandering Brandon and start the lawsuit discussion and the Tuscaloosa police department needs to hold a press conference outlining and clarifying the details of Brandon's situation as to why he's innocent of charges. If he's innocent like they claim, they need to lay out why publicly and shut this shite down. This mob mentality is very dangerous. If Oats suspended Miller, they'd complain that he wasn't kicked off the team. If he kicked him off, they'd complain that Bama didn't cancel the rest of the season. You can't appease people that are like that. So frick them.

On a somewhat side note, I bet Saban is royally pissed at what's happening from a national perception standpoint.

Turn the TV off. Stop clicking on the articles. Stop replying to their Twitter posts. Stop feeding the Rant trolls.

Brandon Miller became a legend tonight. He’d better have the ball in his hands in every end of game/game winning situation from here on out.

I don’t think the Tuscaloosa DAs will do that. They don’t want to say something wrong and have it used against them in the case against Miles and Davis

The Alabama basketball twitter account should stop being such pathetic cowards and tweet about Brandon's historic performance tonight. 41.

I don’t know. Everyone knows he had an epic performance tonight. Don’t need Alabama Twitter to tell us. I’m sure Alabama Twitter doesn’t want to tee up a high profile platform for the trolls to bash Brandon Miller.

I have never been more confident in a Bama basketball player to get us a basket than I am with Miller. Not really saying much with how good we all know he is, but I was not surprised at all when he made both of those clutch shots at the end of regulation/overtime.

Agree, if it comes out that he truly was innocent (which it's looking that way) - that performance will be one of the all time great performances
