Technically no but he is a part of their most used lineup

He's started some games for them. He did against Auburn. But I haven't gone through all of their box scores.

Alabama's Charles Bediako (knee) is a game-time decision for tonight's game against Tennessee, but is "leaning towards a go", per Nate Oats. Averages 5.6 PPG and 5.3 RPG.

This is 'Bama's fourth game as an underdog this year. The Crimson Tide is 2-1 both SU & ATS in 3 games as a 'dog. They lost 100-90 to Gonzaga (+1) in B'ham, won 71-65 (+9) at Houston & won 84-69 at Arkansas (+1.5)

That's good news, even if he doesn't play tonight. Sounds like he'll be back to full strength soon.

If Bediako can give us 20 good minutes theres no doubt in my mind we win.

If we are swapping injuries then we come out ahead in losing Bediako vs them losing/mostly losing James + Phillips.

They need those 2 to defend our length (badly). While Chuck is a big part of what we do, we can adjust and still survive. Not sure they have other options out there.

True but I’ll be surprised if Phillips doesnt play.
If he doesnt thats huge for us.

As much as I want to run through the SEC, I'd rather play teams when they're not missing players. It kind of taints the win for me. That said, I'd rather have a tainted win than a loss, and I definitely would rather them be missing players than us be missing players.

New number 1 @AlabamaMBB in Knoxville for a massive showdown with @Vol_Hoops. Vols favored at home. Sellout crowd. Looks like Bediako is a go for Bama and both Phillips and Josiah Jordan-James are unlikely to play for TN. 7et ESPN2

My understanding is that slight meniscus tears can heal on their own. If we can just pull this win off we’ll have some opportunity to rest Chuck

•Georgia and South Carolina up next

•6 days between end of regular season and quarterfinals of the SECT

•A few days between selection Sunday and the tourney

I used to think this a few years ago but not anymore. A win is a win and no one is going to remember who played and who didn’t a couple months ago. I’ll take any advantage we can get to help get a win.

Surprised the line has not reflected this if true. Can't believe they would still be a 3 point favorite.

It’s actually moved to 3.5 now. No idea what’s going on with the movement.

Computers believe this Tennessee team is the greatest basketball team ever assembled, so maybe that's it.
